my antivirus keeps on neutalizing the chime exe. Scans the exe file ok but when I try to run to install the exe the antivirus neutralises it.
what is your anti-virus?
Can you report this to them as a false positive?

It's Panda antivirus.

:) Added a master volume control, orbis, I'll see if I can add a more targeted volume solution. Also, I found the error in the hourly files code, nogojoe, and I added a checkbox to choose between the play options.

Hi Skommel,
Can you post the new update as a ahk script my antivirus keeps on neutralizing the chime exe. Scans the exe file ok but when I try to run to install the exe the antivirus neutralises it. glad to see that you have found the error in the code but it frustrating not being able to check it out.

Added an option to play sound files 0.wav, 1.wav... 23.wav on the hour if they exist in the program's folder, mouser. :)

Or just 0 through 12, it checks if files >12 exists, and if not it chooses the earlier ones.
Hi Skommel

I have downloaded wav files and have renamed them 0.wav, 1.wav... 23.wav as you have suggested but I am having no luck with them chiming on the hour I have the wav files in the same folder as the program.
I am running the AHK setup as the exe setup brings up a virus warning and quarantines the the exe.

it plays the chimes if you use play in the options setup .
This is the ini file :
[Settings]
interval=60
chime=Sound + Voice
silent1h=00
silent1m=00
silent2h=00
silent2m=00
soundfile=C:\Program Files\Chime\6.wav
repeat=1
voice=Microsoft Sam
voicetest=The time is <Time1>. Today is <Time2>.
time1=H:mm
time2=dddd d. MMMM yyyy
replace1a=:00
replace1b=o'clock
replace2a=.
replace2b=of
hidden=0

Damn, you're so awesome. Thank you very much!

It's surprising that I couldn't find a portable lightweight utility that does this (and OSX does have it).

I'll re-download it and test it out asap!  My living room has an hourly chime again.  Now to find a decent sounding grandfather clock chime.

try
https://freesound.or...oedeshon/packs/7926/

You may have to get Skommel to modify the setup to allow each hour chime to the correct wav. file    then you would have the complete grandfather clock  .The sounds files are really authentic.

VirusTotal shows 0/56 so your AV is probably throwing a false positive.

I've uploaded one that will work for you, and everyone else  8), at the same location.
Hi I'm getting your program neutralized and quarantined as a suspicious file by my antivirus Panda Gold.

EDIT 2015-10-17 1134hrs: I just now updated my previous post (above) where I give links to the files I found.
I have now found the JoinMe software and added it to the list.

Hi Ian.
Those files download links are for the Android Smartphone version .

Many thanks for your efforts .ony hope that someone has an archived version of the of the original ZTE Telecom R1. Joinme program.

Nogojoe.

Your "friends" at CNET have v1.1.0B32:

[ Invalid Attachment ]

Softonic and other sites also have Join Me but their download links are for installer stubs, unlike the one above which downloads the original installer, (even if it is a fairly early version).
Thanks 4wD
apparently the software for Join Me is network carrier specific for the TelecomR1 phone.  Your link contained phones allocated to the Telstra network and didnt have the R1 phone on the list of phones designed for that software. The only hope is that someone has a copy of the original download for the R1 that could be used. Have tried it on JoinMe software designed for Telecom R100 but that didn't work.
The installer stubs you mention takes you to a deadend link @ ZTE.and the say they are not supporting that software now.
One would think they would have an archived version on hand for legal purposes or maybe not.

Found Deals and Discounts / PROTONMAIL OPEN FOR EVERYBODY
« Last post by nogojoe on June 15, 2015, 03:12 AM »
Received this today PROTONMAIL was discussed November last year.

"To celebrate our 1 year anniversary, we are upgrading all accounts created by June 17th, 2015 to 1GB of free storage! Many of you have also asked for a way to share ProtonMail with friends and family. To do that, we have created a special link that allows instant account creation:
https://protonmail.ch/privacyforall

You can send this link to friends and family and they will be able to get a ProtonMail account instantly. As our server capacity is still limited, we will only keep this link active until June 17th, 2015 (or until we hit capacity limit). Also after June 17th, all new accounts will default to 500MB of free storage.

Over the past year, ProtonMail has proven to be reliable with less than 12 hours of total downtime (mostly scheduled maintenance), no incidents of permanent data loss, and no reports of user data compromise. Over that same period, the ProtonMail user community has grown from 10,000 to 500,000 people.

As you know, we respect your privacy and do not track detailed user activity. Therefore, to continue to improve ProtonMail, we need to rely on direct feedback from you and would love to hear your suggestions or criticisms in the following survey:
https://blog.protonmail.ch/feedback

Many of the improvements mentioned in the survey will be coming soon. In the past few months alone, we have added new features like folders/labels, encrypted attachments, the protonmail.com domain, and more: https://blog.protonm...s-new-features-guide

We look forward to continuing this exciting journey with you!

Best regards,
The ProtonMail Team "

Living Room / Re: Kidney stones and Beer!
« Last post by nogojoe on July 27, 2014, 08:47 PM »
Just been though the painful process of having a stone diagnosed in one of the kidneys.
The painful part is the stone telling you its there. CT scan showed a 8mm x 6mm stone "trying" to pass through the
ureter.
Had a stent inserted into the ureter to open it to 5 mm and the urologist hope that with a magic pill which may dissolve the stone to allow it to pass through the stent.
He said that they work on the thesis of multiples of ten.
If you have a stone that is 2mm  take that number away from 10 (2 from 10=8) you have an 80% chance of passing it naturally.
An 8mm stone gives you a 20% chance of passing it which he halved again for some reason I forget he said in my case.
He's giving it a month and then may blast with laser or ultrasound, the stent being there to help pass the fragments.
He said that 40% of stones if left a month will be passed without the patient knowing it,may be lucky to hear a ping in the toilet bowl.
My chances look slim though.

Hi Mouser

May I suggest you try 3D Calendar (author Riccardo Thompsom)

 http://www.3dcalendar.com.ar

it has plenty of extras but they can be disabled if not needed but I think it will cover most of what you are looking for most things highly  configurable to suit ones own taste

have included  a few screenshots for you to look at .
the second has in red the dates that have notes in and they can be seen by hover tip as well as shown under 'events' or just click on the date to see what you have written

Goes great now however another bug.
After I installed Tab Launcher it automatically ran the indexing do-da for cache purposes and everything seemed ok.
however when I enabled the cache icons under options-appearance menu I got the following error
Tab Launcher error2.png

with that I got no icons in my tabs at all.
when I disabled the above things came back to normal again

I have the same problem exactly as Tinman has written apart from the firewall issue.Although i have had port scan attacks blocked by my firewall around or just after the installation.   maybe coincidental but I rarely have those firewall blocks. had the same problems as tinman regards  to uninstalling.

Update. Looks like a few like the idea so I made it so you can make your own format string to add to the file (and Prepend to file). See the ReadMe.txt for format options. Download from first post and see updated screen shot.

Sorry about the spelling, It's not my strong suit. :-)
