in the wallet...  :)

I mean editor, to produce RSS feeds.

I know it's plain XML, but I'm lazy and don't want to lose too much time with RSS.
Just to add some RSS feeds to my website.

I know there are some editors that have a "ping" function to feed the new RSS info into
several RSS sites... an editor with such function is welcome :)

General Software Discussion / RSS feed editor

Anyone has hints about a good RSS feed editor for Windows?
Maybe not based on .NET or Java technology

Thanks! Umberto

Yes, I think it's possible. I will break the "no registry messer" award but I'll put in the to do list anyway  :)

Yes, Sajman.

But given that there must be no setup, I opted for a direct registry insert by the user (I know, not much elegant).

Anyway, nothing difficult: In the tips and tricks page of SpaceSniffer website there is a snippet to add a "Scan with SpaceSniffer" context menu to explorer items. Check if it can be of any help for you.

I'm using AJC Active Backup since first releases and found it really discreet and life saving!

(It's not free but costs about $25... for a lifetime license...)

I'm really happy to know that there is people out there that like the product. I'm trying to make it immediate and easy to use, and still fit in some cool features. Keep simplicity involves a lot of difficult decisions about what to include or not...

Hello Damian,

I'm currently working on an export module that lets the user produce text files from a filtered SpaceSniffer view. The export module should be flexible enough to let you export a simple path+file list, a tree-structured layout, even a batch file containing commands for each file (example: delete).

Should this feature be enough for your needs?

Greetings! Umberto

Thanks all for the warm welcome!

Noutters, i'll put the "initial detail level in config" in my to do list.
Speaking about the color encoding by file type, well... I really fear that with this feature SpaceSniffer would become a kind of carnival and would produce more unreadable maps. That's the reason that lead me to avoid too many colors.
Anyway, I'm thinking about something (cool I hope) to better understand displayed files.

Cheers! Umberto

Hello,

I recently subscribed to DonationCoder (last week) and wish to introduce myself.
My name is Umberto Uderzo, I live and work in north Italy as a computer consultant
and freelance programmer.
Maybe you had occasion to give a look at my freeware SpaceSniffer, hope it can be
considered a welcomed "new entry".

Thank you to MerleOne, that pointed me to this great site.

Greetings... Umberto
