It's a short story in my opinion.  :-[
But You give the two signal points : the antenna and the eye patch. So when He takes off the patch..... Natural ..... Or naturally hypernatural. The antenna receives the signal. Rather is a scientific story and you, that likes and understand mobiles, knows than in a few years the soldiers will have implants.

What file i have to send ?
What file sent you 4wd ?¿?¿?¿
A corrected text ? But the text is wonderful !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Coloquial language. I have to see several phrases in the translator.
I think only 4wd or any other clever native can give you in deepness details of the text.  :tellme:
I even have to see for DD significance. First I suppose to be Big Breasts, but finally assumed Design Driver.

Portable or not portable the interesting point is searching structurally inside all types of files from Thunderbird. That, of course, can be a portable program too.
But I only have in portable way. That is for me :
Install TB in a data disk (over my disk y: data disk, not in the system). Why ? Because in my old windows xp I share this installation between the differents installations under the same windows xp pro ....
I don't need to install in a usb drive, by example.
And I think too is an advantage because i have configuration and data in a data disk continually backing up to my security copies disk.
Is my system collapse I have the emails in other places. And I don't have to worry about so much installation in the system.
I try to install all i can in portable way. Even if the program have dependencies like net framework, java, etc.
Sometimes in "this portable way" i had to reinstall the program in every system because write fragments in the registry or even in some folders in the system.
Others cases for me had been when the installer only let me install on the system, but really the program is almost portable. So I copy the installation folder to my data disk and execute from there. Many times give me good results and no additional problems.

Usually some absolutely not portable programs are fat software.

Seems difficult search inside TB in background mode indeed
And structurally of course, with definition of fields.

Stephen and Jason , two old friends, meets after 18 months. In a lovely day with their families to talk about while drinking. But one of them seems to have an infinite imagination and a sobrenatural story to tell the other.

A wonderful story where the natural exists between two friends departing in a lovely day and finally encounters another true - a supernatural true-  and Stephen began to cry

measure decibels

There is a lot of applications for that purpose under Android and probably calibrated microphones for the mobile devices.

I think in the next years these devices will become more fiable.

I need contact with people fighting against the noise. I have a blog in www.tuisla.tk

At the present moment i have more GB of space in a data disk with programs in portable mode than in the system disk.
In the past was very useful for me because of my multiple startup, but now with the limitation of the windows 7 license.....
Of course we have the virtual machines under xp.

Que?

MailStoreHomePortable saves some settings to the registry plus other stuff in AppData = not portable.

My programmer have decided made a seperate module for point to that screenshot.

So I put in the beginning of the post the remodelated or final version of LinkFolder.

He ask me to a name for the new module and then i have more ideas. The members of this forum in a few years ago knows me a little to know i have lack of memory and I am not very clever, but sometimes I have ideas that i don't have idea where they come from  :o

:-[ So if you make me questions i feel nervous i begin to say silly things. And all type of things. And perhaps one in a thousand is good.

I take the risk

So the name for the new module may be LinkNotes because is something you interpret from a character chain.

Initially was interpret a character chain to extract the date in a certain way and launch a folder. Now may be launch a similar folder in several ways.

But my stupid idea is talk with a clever programmer with my everyday language.
The idea is not new, of course.

I am speaking to you my friend

And you answer : Tell me your project in intelligent character chains.

I open a new post.

Is not background indexing I think. Takes a time to index the files and recently i was using specially to search in my sent emails because I have a lot off accounts.

But I have integrated a sent folders with my accounts.
I must revise when I create another one....

I use the concept of virtual folder or saved search

I found a interesting article about. It's not a paf, but mailstore is good portable in the classic sense (don't write in the windows registry). I have good residents that are not independent in the sense they need Java o Framework.

Big issue with backup/restore

2491
What I would like ?

Simple.
An effective background index programmated to search structurally in the contents of the email.
DocFetcher seems able to do, but not structurally in the sense of determine the sender, the receiver, the subject and so on.
MailStore does, but is not background indexing.

Anyone has tried with the addon for windows search in windows 7 ?
2492
But don't forget the msf files from TB
I usually collect some emails to my folders in eml format, but the gross is in msf format.

Each Thunderbird mail folder is stored in two files named after this mail folder name:
  •     File with no extension stores email messages in the plain text format, one after one. This file is larger than the MSF index.
  •     A corresponding (smaller) .MSF file contains mail folder indexes and preference data. Thunderbird figures out what part of the message to be displayed, the order of messages within a folder, and the like - all based on the .MSF file information. It is important to note that .MSF files do not contain any email messages and, all in all, are redundant. Thunderbird will rebuild .MSF files as needed if they are missing.

MSF files are just indexes, all your emails are stored in plain text in the files with no extension, eg. Drafts, Sent Mail
 (see attachment in previous post)

Thanks a lot 4wd

I was wondering why appear in the web utilities like docFetcher able to search inside pst files, but not so many utilities to search in the specific folders of Thunderbird. I suppose msf because I see somewhere. Perhaps in OSForensics Passmark ?

Nooooo.
What email formats are compatible with OSF

The very good news are that are simple text.
Because in that case sure DocFetcher can make his labour.

OSForensics don't seems index in background and hangs after more than one day indexing. That was my particular experience.

To search through mail (and attachments) my accounts have collected throughout the years, I use MailStore Home. That particular version is free (and available in portable format on www.portableapps.com).

It finds more concise results to any search query when compared with the search capabilities of Thunderbird, my email client of choice. It also serves as a backup of your mail and it allows you to convert mail to different formats so the messages in MailStore home can be exported to the mail client of your choice.

No affiliation, just a (very) content user.

I use too. One year or more using. Totally according with you.

I think I have seen that windows search under seven may index the emails.
I don't know.
Is possible configure windows search to look only inside emails ?

DocFetcher can manipulate txt files. Or files similar.
What do you think about OSForensic from Passmark
2497
Resident search inside eml files and thoses from Thunderbird

I am very happy with search options like everything, Qiqqa, DocFetcher, but this last only index pst files from Outlook

I would like a resident and seperate tool for background indexing of my email files.

Everything would be better - let it run in the background, bring it up with a hotkey and then just start typing the name - searching would be near instantaneous.

Just create a Search Filter to restrict it to the O:\Screenshots\ directory - note the trailing \.

Owww 4wd i am very happy with Everything. A miracle.

I have the new program now. it works very well implemented with new options to determine exactly the target and activate or not the multiple selection.
I will put the source when an ansiated subroutines - and I'll to wait for this - for this target I put some day in the forum.

It completes the link option in a singular way interpreting the field notes in Goldmine 5.5. A clever chain to launch when parsing to the clipboard to the specific folder in my pc.
I have the screenshots organized in folders by month .
Many times a day I have to make screenshots with Screenshot Captor .
Yesterday, by example, I was studying differents of an object and add a register with its name, and in the future i will can link to the corresponding screenshot I take after create the registry from the web.

This is very fast and more confortable that open the screenshots folder and point to the screenshot manually.

Is similar to the possible situation of select a folder and files in the windows explorer and link to the open registry in goldmine 5.5

POINT TO THAT SCREENSHOT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He does. Thank you very much 4wd.

His answer after reading your link was :

"Don't worry , I think I got a possible solution. Exist a command "GUICtrlListView" that fails and only gives the first selected element besides exists several, but there is also a third list called "_GUICtrlListView" (independent and with different functions to "GUICtrlListView") that HAVE the needed Characteristics !!!!!!!

It don't be late tha I will have a new version of the program"
in spanish :
"No te preocupes, me parece que ya tengo una posible solución. Resulta que hay una lista que es "GUICtrlListView", que es la que falla y sólo da el primer elemento seleccionado aunque haya varios, pero también hay una tercera lista llamada "_GUICtrlListView" (independiente y con funciones distintas de "GUICtrlListView"), que sí tiene las características necesarias.

No tardaré en tener una nueva versión del programa que utilice el control "_GUICtrlListView", a ver que tal funciona :)   "
