"I haven't seen it in a more 'powerful' version anywhere - their 'Binder' software is maybe like a dumbed down version.
Maybe it was just too buggy to maintain. "

Maybe. Because there are no alternatives similar.
In my experience with the trial i have no problem, but I use in simple situations with doc, xls and pdf
 :-*

I will continue trying to find alternatives and libreoffice is adopted

I was looking for conversion programmes today (for ESRI files). I only found one - it doesn't even do what you want Contro - but it converts 342 different filetypes. They (or their suppliers) dont even list a price - so I know it's out of my league.... (FWIW http://www.safe.com/fme/format-search/#!)

In my vice for software I had downloaded a gDoc Fusion trial some time ago. [...]
Now I observ in the web they have derived to even more powerful software.

It seems a very serious program and have a Free 14-day Trial Download
But I think is not in my line. It seems complicated and very complex for me.
For enterprises with many branchs and workers. I am only ONE !!!!!!!

Another way would be to change all the parts to a common format.. like PDF as example.  Open each document and print it using one of those printer drivers that outputs PDF or whatever output format you want.  Then put all the pieces together.

I read too quickly,  and for a moment there I thought you were going to suggest printing the files on paper - then physically cutting them up and glueing them together :D

If all else fails there's Elmer's Glue-All.  ;)

that's the point.
I am using some time ago pdftkbuilder with good results to split or collage, but the powerful options drag and drop for gDoc I haven't seen in other programs.

You can split or collate pdf with many other apps.

I was thinking in something like this

http://www.youtube.c.../watch?v=8I4eKvQzikI     :P

why not that? (gdoc fusion?)

It's only a trial.
 :P

is it actually available to buy anywhere? (I couldnt find it).

Vaguely related:
I owned a copy of JAWs (PDF creater) - it was taken over by gDocs, I see it's no longer available for purchase. They seem to concentrate on the OEM market now (not sure which OEM market).

In my vice for software I had downloaded a gDoc Fusion trial some time ago. I can hang somewhere for you.
Now I observ in the web they have derived to even more powerful software.

What libreoffice verrsion and what readers ?

-the important part was not "readers", but "copy and paste":

Use LibreOffice to create a document, and keep it open, then copy from whatever other document, and paste into that document.

I download six times libreoffice.org but the installer gives me errors. So I download from other sources like softonic and finally is installed.

I would like to know other alternatives of these types of programs.
Via copy-paste is not so powerful like with gDoc fusion that is simply drag and drop. Group. Insert. Modify even .

Simplest free suggestion:
Use LibreOffice to open a Text document, and use readers for all other formats, then copy/paste at will into the LibreOffice text document 8)
Gives highest accuracy and biggest flexibility

What libreoffice verrsion and what readers ?
I have an old version of OpenOffice 2.4.1

merge different types of documents (xls, eml, doc, docx, pdf, etc.)

I would like a program to join different types of files without effort.
Able to insert in the middle of a doc a eml file, or a xls file. any type of document .
Join documents.
Some similar to pdftkbuilder, but with any type of files, not only pdf.

Best Regards

Note : only documents files of course. May be possible insert even an avi in a doc file, or a mp3, but i am not interested in this. Only documents types. :-*

A learning curve ?

Archivarius seems perfect

Okay, got you.
I'm no expert, so I'm not going to be able to help much - I'm just trying to figure out what *exactly* the problem is. (I'm also unhappy with Thunderbird search btw - maybe we just need a better email client :-/ )

So, by 'structured', do you mean - tell me where (in which folder: sent/inbox/etc) the email is located (?)

Search in the subject, in the message, in the sender.
But I suppose I am talking nonsense.

In the post seems good for this purpose :

Archivarious 3000
dtSearch
File Locator pro

All seems to go well.

I gonna to try first.

But the point is look inside TB...

we are going around in clircles.

4wd said:
all your emails are stored in plain text in the files with no extension, eg. Drafts, Sent Mail

which means there should be no problem indexing them - or am I misunderstanding something?

But Tomos is not structured search like in MailStore Home I think
That's the reason

I don't find a resident or background indexing program.

But some day I will

have you looked at any of the desktop search programmes?
There was an old thread about them resurrected here lately:
https://www.donation....msg337045#msg337045
"What is the currently best Desktop Search software?"

Yeapp. But the point is look inside TB...
But I'll try revising the post.

You might want to check out my Web Link Captor tool -- it's designed to do this kind of thing (though not this exactly), and a lot more.

However, it's a tool that has a bit of a learning curve.

Oh my lack of memory. I remember now. Running to try.
