Ignorance is no defense...

People who own macs think they own the world, and they think (in most cases anyway) that they are better than everybody else, and (until now) they thought they where invulnerable to everything...

So Yes, I laugh, and I laugh LOUD!  ;D

I thought I saw on TV years ago a little car that could fly AND be driven into water as a boat. . .

And I'm not talking about on a fiction show. Anyone else have an idea of what I'm talking about?

There is an Aircraft that is called the Icon A5 - Its only recently gone into development though, so unsure its the same thing...also with the fact the A5 has to be LANDED on water, not driven, I am starting to wonder why I bothered starting to write this reply, knowing it will be of no use to you at all  :-[

US company Terrafugia has put on display a prototype car that is licensed to fly as well as drive, at the New York International Auto Show.

It is the first vehicle in the world to have met both the standards of the FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) and the NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration), according to Cliff Allen, Vice President of Sales at Terrafugia.

This makes it the first "street legal aeroplane", he said.

Known as the Transition, the versatile vehicle has two seats, four wheels and retractable wings.

Dr Samuel Schwegart
Engineer, Terrafugia

It is expected to be available next year, with a price tag in the region of $279,000 (£176,300).

Very VERY Reasonable price for what it is...It puts it in the price range of many more people than I had expected...

Cant wait to see them in showrooms!

Next Update will possibly be something like this:

Trying to decide what features I want/need to add before committing though,...could do with some feedback :D

Oh yeah, It will be called what you see in the title bar, when I release it :D - I kinda prefer that name, and it doesn't limit me to only video.

If that much.  Its also difficult to think that people would want to tie up their phone lines for an hour or two just to read the paper.   :D

I guess back then, much like now, people did it just so they could say "I did that!"

What makes this especially bad is the fact that most Mac users do not have an antivirus installed to catch it. They don't think Macs can get malware so they don't bother with it.

You say bad, I say funny as hell...

I already use an WYSIWYG HTML editor

but I cant convert text to bold or red, easily, like in MS Word, I cant change the position of text blocks and graphics, easily, by draggind them, etc

* Stephen66515 hates WYSIWYG when it comes to website design so he shall bow out of this conversation :D

Crap, sorry, just noticed a problem in the last build that forced all videos to 800x600 regardless of your selection.

Fixed it now, rebuilt, and re-uploaded :D

Embed A Video makes it simple to create your own streaming video in HTML - Simply enter the details of the video, select your size and background colour, and hit generate! - Its really that easy!

I am planning (May never do it unless people want it) to add more functions to this, mainly things like different types of stream types (WMP/Audio etc).  But like I said, not too sure.

I only made this for my own use but figured I would polish the UI and release it as a small utility :)

No install needed, just unrar and run :)

Kelsey Grammar would have made a good match, hes a great actor :)

A realistic question should be...

Why the hell do we even HAVE to resort to visual hacks just to do something as simple as get the start menu back?

For me, Windows 8 is a huge no-go.  It will fail as a Desktop OS, and it will fail as a Tablet OS.

due to my recent Vista crash, I lost all the videos from VideoBlocks. But now VideoBlocks is repeating the offer! This time the campaign is aimed at church leaders etcetera, (via eStudySource), but the content is the same. Also, they have written what I failed to notice from the beginning, that they will give you back your money if you forget to cancel in time. Again, you cannot download more than 20 files per day; it is not "50.000", but "max 140 of 50.000"

https://www.videoblo...dySourceReligion0312

Just create a username and password*, and you get download access to everything on VideoBlocks.com for 7 days. You can download 20 clips per day.

*To ensure one login per customer, we require a credit card to sign up for an account on VideoBlocks.com. However, you will not be charged anything for your 7 days of complimentary access. After 7 days you will automatically be charged if you do not cancel your account, but we will happily refund you if you forget.

VideoBlocks.com is only giving this complimentary access to a limited number of users, so start downloading now:

It may well be that they have added that extra bit due to this thread, if so, well done VideoBlocks, Well done! - That is how its done! - Maybe other sites who run offers like that will take this on board! (One can only hope ;D)

I cant think of a worse possible candidate for such a role...Except maybe Ricky Gervais

Ashton Kutcher has been cast as Steve Jobs in one of two competing biopics about the late founder of Apple, reports Variety.

Kutcher, who bears some resemblance to the young Jobs, has been cast in a version by Swing Vote's Joshua Michael Stern, which will chronicle the entrepreneur's journey from "wayward hippie" to co-founder of the iconic technology firm, "where he became one of the most revered creative entrepreneurs of our time".

"I had the idea the day Jobs retired and I notice several IT and art directors at my company all in a buzz," producer Mark Hulme of Five Star Insitute told TheWrap. "I was observing that day how distractive his retirement was to the marketplace and I knew in my heart that his story was the film I wanted to do".

I have absolutely no problem running MS FS X.

6-core AMD Phenom II
Sapphire Radeon HD6870
16Gb memory
Windows 7 64-bit

I would be surprised if I did have problems running it as it is supposed to work on much lower spec.

WRT veering - I wonder if it is your joystick config? I had a similar problem with my joystick in FlightGear (went round in circles!).
-Carol Haynes (March 31, 2012, 07:18 PM)

I can run FSX on Ultra :) - My previous post was about X-Plane  8)

*edit*

Just re-read my last post, it does look like im talking about FSX lol sorry.

Hehe, Don't think its much in the way of 'Competition' - Not even close to the quality of yours IMHO :) - I honestly didn't even remember about yours until about 10 seconds after I posted the preview haha.

Which language do you use for it?

C# + Regex (I Bloody HATE Regex!) :P

MSFlight vs X-Plane 10? = Gimme X-Plane any day!
-Stephen66515 (March 31, 2012, 01:46 PM)

Tried that too, the trial. Got a god-awful frame rate, even though my system falls well within their specs. No idea why, but it was so bad I uninstalled it after one try.

Will try again some time, when I've had enough of MS Flight, but in my initial impression it was somewhat frustrating to get started with. Does it have tutorials? Aircraft info?

It's probably quite lame of me, but I find it tedious to stay up in the air for hours without anything interesting to look out the window at. Hawaii was a good choice for MS, as is Alaska, since the terrain is varied and beautiful (and provides for many challenges if you want). Don't know about X-Plane, but in FSX Hawaii looks totally bland, and anywhere else is only worse. Add-on scenery is expensive, limited and it would probably make the frame rate unplayable.

But I *am* hooked and I finally have a reason to upgrade my hardware. The only problem is I'm not sure any hardware upgrade will help in FSX, since it really depends on the CPU clock only, and the clocks today are pretty much what they were five years ago.

I had the same problem with Frame Rate up until I upgraded my GFX card and full utilized DX11 -I also found that (still cant figure it out) with default aircraft, when you try to take off, your plane will veer dramatically to the left for no reason I can explain, other than the default Cessna loading with the rudder on full and it doesn't help to actually rudder right to account for it.

Coming Very Soon...

Heres a sneak preview ;)

Grayed out areas are fully functional, just disabled while debugging.

Version 1 has ALL the buttons you find right here on DC.

In the release after that, I plan to allow people to add their own tags onto a toolbar, together with their very own icons!

Everything is documented and is very very easy to use.

You can easily save your posts and come back to them later (All posts save as plain text, NOT RTF!)

Will hopefully have the first version available to download soon!

Anybody wanting to try the production copy of it, please let me know :)
