Announce Your Software/Service/Product / Re: Start Anywhere [Beta]
« Last post by KynloStephen66515 on April 14, 2012, 06:56 PM »
Sure I can do that. I do need a lesson on how to embed a link if someone can tell me. Thanks

On the post window, you will see at the bottom, an area for uploading attachments.

To attach a thumbnail image you can do [attach=(Attachment number)] (EG: [attachthumb=1])

The number after = directly relates to the attachment number, so if you have the screenshot in the top box, and the download in the second upload area, the screenshot would be [attachthumb=1] and the attachment would be [attach=2]

The "thumb" part is for thumbnails, so if you don't want a thumbnail, you simply remove 'thumb' from 'attachthumb'

I am not sure how clear I am being, so let me know if I have made no sense, or you need more help :)

Would you mind posting some screenshots on the forum with any more software you create.  Also, if possible, embed the download here on DonationCoder - If you need to know how, then let us know and I am sure somebody will let you know how.

I am a little skeptical about downloading something from a direct link without knowing really what I am getting, and at least when it is embedded here on DC, we can get an idea of how many people have downloaded it.

Let's hope the donatin' spirit lasts longer than I!
We're up to $6,781 which is a couple of $5 dollar donations, which I know is way more than Mouser dreamed of, but Friends, Loyalists, join the Frenzy, embrace the spirit, of the Hallowed Holy Temple of the Devs! (And Hangers on!)

We had to put my dog Molly down today. She started having siezures, went blind, could barely breath on her own, and was in a constant state of panic. And all of that happend in just the last 2 days. She was a rescue so we don't know her exact age, but I'd say she was 3-ish when she came to us ... and we've had her about 13 years.

So sorry for your loss SJ - At least you know you gave her a good home for her long life! - Be proud!

Go get yourself a drink of something heavily alcoholic and toast to her memory :) :beerchug:

Nah, If a web developer chooses to be an ass and Block one of the major browsers, its their own fault IMHO...and anyway...it's much more fun to bitch about it xD

I was going to make one on homestead...purely because they are the leader in crap sites...

Even their own site is crap...

Oops! We're sorry, but you appear to be using a browser that's incompatible with our SiteBuilder software.

Our SiteBuilder software works well with Firefox and Internet Explorer. If you have one of those browsers installed on your computer, you can simply use it to reopen Homestead.com and begin your free trial.

If you don't yet have Firefox or Internet Explorer, they're easy to get, and fast!

Download Firefox

Download Internet Explorer
Thank you. We apologize for the inconvenience, but we think you'll be pleased with the results!

Its Opera for god sakes people, not exactly an unknown, brand new engine...STOP LIMITING YOUR SHIT TO FIREFOX AND INTERNET EXPLORER!

is there already a discussion somewhere about the Wordpress software directory thingy?

We are working on the CMS move of DC now -- immediately after that we will begin with a better software repository, and the revival of the DonationCoder columnist/bloggers idea.  Stephen found a pretty good software repository software system but it feels a little overcomplicated to me so I'm still looking.

Tell you what, I'll create a sub-section of the forum where we can discuss the cms move. standby.

By over complicated, he means, a very simple Admin panel and User Control Panel...

Stephen, how are you auto-pulling the FurMometer bar in your sig without manually updating it?

I was hoping they'd show video of it being driven down the street. I remember years back there was a street legal auto you could fly. But you pulled a trailer with the wings in it.  You had to take the wings from the trailer and latch them on. Also there was the problem of storing the trailer while airborne.  If you landed in a different city and wanted to drive it, then I guess you either paid to store your wings at that airport or rented a trailer? :)

The nose on the thing looked similar to a Piper Cub single engine job.
