It's long overdue that we started a thread like this I think.

If you have a website (or two or ten), or help to run one, tell us about it!
Whether it's a commercial site or not, I don't think it matters.

Only one condition: You have to have made at least one other post on the forum about something NOT related to your website first!  In other words, don't be rude and make your first post on the forum all about yourself (and if you haven't found any interesting posts to comment on before now, check out the newsletters for ideas).

If you don't run a website but are dreaming of starting one, feel free to talk about that instead.

well that is doubly strange since i didn't think i changed anything since then.
does it matter what control has focus (search box or results) when you trigger it? any other clues you can figure out about if it works sometimes and not others would be appreciated.

it's kind of bizarre how the different methods of launching work for some people and not others..
the new version that worked for you seemed to cause issues for others, so until i find a surefire single method that works for everyone, the next release will contain another option setting to choose the method.

again i want to thank you for taking the time to post and being willing to try out these different versions and settings -- it helps me make a better program for everyone and it's a huge help to me in resolving some of these tricky issues.

feel free to stop experimenting with FARR if you get frustrated.  as long as you are willing to test though i will try to fix and promise not to give up.

my experience is that for every 1 reported problem, there are dozens or more experiencing the same problem -- so i really do appreciate when people are willing to report such things as test.  feel free to email me at: [email protected] if i can help more directly.

anyway like i said, don't feel obligated to keep testing, but if you feel like it then i'll keep bugging you with things to test until we get it working

another solution to the dilemna which might be better even for people not using this plugin would be for me to populate the initial contents BEFORE the initial display.  that would solve your problem and speed up display as well.

something to think of for future:
option to shown on desktop where mouse is (and maybe default to this if no active window?)

and perhaps a sub-option for centering:
[] only center when initially appearing (current method keeps re-centering as the window changes sizes)

but you need to know the full path to the file.
i will add a new variable %PLUGINDIR% soon so you can more easily refer to a file in the plugin directory.
