Cant say I am surprised being that they have always been a tad overpriced. They just havent caught on to the whole revolution of the internet. Actually, if I remember correctly, most of their business came from the sale of apple products in their stores. They always had an entire half of the store dedicated to Apple.

Roboform does sync with palm, they have a separate license for it. Also, the name of the program is RoboForm, and as such, form filling is its primary strength.

I've actually found the IRC channel to be a very friendly, funny, and often times action packed place to hang out.

Tobias: Can you tell us what major features one can expect from the 4.x product line? I am currently evaluating SyncBackSE and am going to evaluate SFFS soon. What are the major advantages, from your perspective, of sffs over SBSE? Thanks!

This 20% promotion is ALWAYS running. It is nothing new. There hasnt been a day that slysoft hasnt run a 20% off discount for their products. Its a scheme I've seen several companies run.

Echo is designed for network backups, not individual workstation backups. It is designed to backup and restore to/from a server environment as is very clear on their product page.

Well Nighted, I can respect your right to dislike a product. It would be nice to know why so its not just a blanket statement which plaques many of the "reviews" i see on various sites. These reviews provide little insight into the product and leave the person wondering what could possibly be wrong.

Nighted: Perhaps you can elaborate on your comments? Simply saying it sucks doesnt provide any real reason into WHY it sucks.

Post New Requests Here / IDEA: Package Tracker
« Last post by Josh on November 27, 2007, 10:45 AM »
I would like to have someone make a program similar to wordzilla's forum notifier, but for package tracking (UPS, FEDEX, DHL, USPS, ETC). One option I would like to see is a popup notification that remains on screen until closed and the ability to track via a window which pops up similar to google's desktop search results. Another option would be to auto-track and refresh given tracking numbers (in conjunction with the popup request above). One further option would be to save said tracking numbers in the program, but again, that would go with the aforementioned popup and auto-track requests.

What do you think? Doable?

You know, I used to preach zoom player, however lately I've moved back to winamp after many plugin/codec issues with ZP. It sucks that I jumped ship so quickly to ZP and spent the money because the issues show no sign of resolve in the upcoming 5.5 beta :-/

You can be deceptive without outright lying. Yes. That is what I meant. If they are affiliated with these products or have an affiliates program with them, then fine, let them advertise their products. No one forces you to install them. Deceptive ads? Yes. Do they lie? no. Is this a reason to lose trust in a company? Not in my eyes. If this were the case, I wouldnt trust ANY download site due to the many affiliations they make.
