yes, I usually also uses "none" - but how will you get support from an email address that is not registered with the program? Anyway, that was my reason.

Debenu PDF Maximus
Easily Automate Complex PDF Workflows

To say that PDF is the core of your workflow is a simple way of saying many things. It means that you not only work with PDF documents, but that you're also constantly working to transfer source materials in and out of the PDF format. It means you're converting images and text, manipulating pages and entire documents, and using PDFs as forms. It's a huge laundry list of tasks, and you're going to need to be able to tackle all of them with a single application. That's where today's discount software promotion, Debenu PDF Maximus, really shines.

Debenu PDF Maximus lets you automate PDF workflows, giving you the power to split/merge PDFs, convert images to PDF, apply stamps and watermarks, extract text and more. With Debenu PDF Maximus, you'll never have to quit out of one program to launch another, because everything you need to perform complex workflows using PDFs is right here, in one spot. In fact, you can even use Debenu PDF Maximus to create standardized action lists to ensure consistency in processing and remove any risk of human error! Take it even further by defining Watch Folders, which triggers Debenu PDF Maximus processing on any files that are placed in them.

Best of all, you don't need to install Adobe Acrobat or any other PDF software in order to take full advantage of Debenu PDF Maximus! The workflow possibilities are endless - split and merge PDF files, insert text and images, convert images to PDF and back again, plus take advantage of the ability to crop, rotate, delete, extract, and insert pages into existing PDF files. Thanks to batch processing, you can apply the power of Debenu PDF Maximus to single documents or entire collections of files with just a click!

-yes, TaoPhoenix, and Thanks for reminding. A moment of silence would of course be the best place to cut, but the track is full volume from beginning to end, so I turned on some Sunshine because it made it all easier to explain.

Addendum: For a list of 25 free audio mixing apps look here. I've personally used Audacity, Ardour, Jokosher, and Wavosaur.

-wow; I've never even heard of Ardour or Jokosher. Will go and test! (Linux / Mac, not Win)

General Software Discussion / cut out middle verse and still keep pace
« Last post by Curt on July 07, 2012, 03:54 PM »
Thanks for the many helping answers. I ask you all to forgive that my school-English doesn't master this kind of explanations. Pitch was not the accurate word, but I think "keeping pace" is. A long and hard explanation: If the first ("left") cut was made in the first chorus, in the middle of the word "sunshine", then the second ("right") cut must make the second half of third chorus' "sunshine" fulfill the first "sun...", in the merged clips, so he again is singing sunshine.

Confused? You won't be  after next episode of SOAP!

I won't actually start doing it until next week.

@IainB - I don't know why your version didn't work properly, but GRIS was updated the day before yesterday and works perfectly. And it doesn't do anything out of order.

Now knowing it is originating from WMware / ThinApp, this sign at every launch makes more sense to me than it did the first times I launched the program, after having registered:

Otherwise I would have continued to worry that it wasn't properly registered to me (my USB).

InfoRecall is working well ♥

But I can understand how several issues are making people (including myself) assuming something is seriously wrong. One of the (many?) small issues is the path in the titlebar: "C:\Program Files x86\InfoRecall\Data".  Why on earth does it say so, when the real path is "F:\InfoRecall\InfoRecall 15.3 Portable\Data"? I guess Bionic71 was right, saying that InfoRecall isn't properly build to be portable! If 'you' take the deal, I think it might be "safest" to grab the traditional installer...

But as I started out, it also is a fine program!

In the (portable) InfoRecall folder there is an auto-created shortcut that is all wrong / mysterious:

"H:\EXTENSION_E\VMware\VMware ThinApp\Captures\InfoRecall\bin\InfoRecall 15.exe"

The link is "blind"; no such address.

When I closed InfoRecall the first time, having merely copied the Product Key and Build Number (in order to email them), I received this OLE-related error message:

2012-07-06_140338.gif

-how the heck should the user check this?!!

-------

I have InfoRecall installed on a (slow) USB 2 stick, so it should launch quite slow.
However, it launches extremely slow.

Tested in a vm now this InfoRecall $5.99
Each installation gives you a unique ID key, you need to email support each time you install/reinstall.
You bought this curt?
If you bought the software you would want to backup/export a snippet from registry once registered.
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Info\Info\2.1

Thanks   , but at the moment I think I might just have wasted $6.
I am pleased VAT was included ;-)

After downloading and installing InfoRecall please submit the Product Key and Build Number as seen on the fist screen that comes up when you start InfoRecall to  [email protected] and, Phantech Software will e-mail you a Registration Key.

Not one of the 3 confirmation emails included a link to the file or even to the site.

General Software Discussion / cut out middle verse and still keep pace
« Last post by Curt on July 05, 2012, 08:03 AM »
Thread's original title:
"recommend audio editor to cut out middle part and still keep pitch"
-but the proper word is not "pitch", and I already have the right editor! :-[
----------------------------

I have grown fond of my audio file version of the silly Tunak Tunak Tun by Daler Mehndi. But without the video my ears are telling me that the song is too long - it must be shortened! But I don't want to just cut off the end, but the middle part of the song. This has turned out to be a much bigger problem than expected. So far it has been impossible for me to get it perfect; the cut is never right on pitch. The operation is even more difficult because the song is so "turn up every volume button"-loud recorded:

2012-07-05_150101.gif

Have you tried to cut off the middle part of a song? Can you recommend a good audio editor to do so? Of course I expect Adobe, Sony and other expensive editors can make such an operation easy, but Real Life is not that easy, so I want you to recommend a really cheap solution.  ;-)  The free Direct Cut cannot do it - at least not when I am using it.
