Updated ScriptLineCounter to version 1.4.1.0

What's new/changed:

• Fixed: Exception when generating output but no episodes where found (no files?)
• Improved: If a .doc file is actually a disguised .rtf file, then read it like rtf, and same for .docx
• Improved: Remove non-breaking spaces from character names, as found in some .doc files
• Added: ScriptLineCounter.exe built using Launch4j, to avoid having a Command prompt open during run, also disables Console output
• Added: Messagebox feature when running from .exe, messages to console shown as messagebox when needed
• Added: ScriptLineCounter-CharacterMapping.properties settings file to merge multiple characters into 1, for resolving some typo's, supports Unicode
• Added: ScriptLineCounter-CharacterNames.properties settings file to replace [CharacterNames] section in ini file, supports Unicode
• Added: ScriptLineCounter-IgnoreCharacters.properties settings file to replace [IgnoreCharacters] section in ini file, supports Unicode

TODO: (in priority-order)

• Improve and expand the GUI interface (partially done)
• Possibly add headers and footers to the output
• Add some unexpected features
• Fix any bugs or issues reported (3 until now )
• Handle pdf files for input
• Handle extra file-format extracted from samples received
• Write a Readme.txt file
• Create a GUI interface

The Console section is marked to emphasize that it's disabled when running the .exe, as that has no Console capabilities.

When windows media centre is in full screen mode the screen shots are all black.I'm using v2.82.01.

Is there a way to take full screen screenshots in windows media centre in windows 7 64bit?

At the moment I can take screenshots of windows media centre by having it in a large window only.

Euhm, and if you installed the latest 3.0 version from this thread? 2.82 is really, really old
And 3.0 has a DirectX capture mode, that might come in handy in your situation as well, though I've never worked with the Windows Media Center, so I can't know for sure.

I think it's rather silly to try to change the NTFS driver/behavior to support special characters that are actually reserved/designated for separating and selecting drives, directories and files. That's not a plausible route to go.

So, if you can't solve it directly, add an extra indirection, meaning, store the information in some (searchable) fileformat, like one of several available note-storage programs, designed for tasks like these

• Use my Excel2Html utility to process the Excel file into a text file with urls (the template doesn't have to be html for E2H to work )
• Feed the textfile to a batch-downloader for downloading the files automagically

A few simple & quick idea's: (as in 'Protect what you have', a paper license is just simply ignored)
- Put the name, checksummed, in prominent places in the UI, and on/in any output created (if possible).
- Put some kind of licensing scheme in place, like the one by DC member josant, in his NANY2012 entry

• Added: Parsing FileFormat 3, as supplied in pdf, nearly correct, to be validated
• Added: -oc (OutputContent) option, no ini setting, displays all read file-content to console when -v also is set
• Added: -im (IgnoreMinimalScore) option, no ini setting
• Added: -xe option, Extra Info sheet to excel file, listing all files, the recognition percentage and the file-format detected
• Improved: Overhauled GUI options and layout, added url-label with link to DC-forum thread

Opening a .png file using Paint.NET gives me the units which are set (by default) in Paint.NET, and it knows how to convert the resolution stored in the .png. If I change a setting, like Image/Resize, to be pixels/cm instead of the default pixels/inch, the next time it has remembered my choice. I like that behavior.
Most likely because of the age of PSP, compared to the age of .png, it doesn't have all this 'sophistication', yet.

• Improved: Layout row-height where the font is larger

Just a small ScriptLineCounter status update:
Implemented:

• Auto-detection of file-format based on content, preference for format with highest matching line count
• Output .xls and .xlsx layout improvements

Working on:

• GUI bugfixing
• GUI add missing options/checkboxes
• GUI settings saved
• Finally write a proper readme.txt

Planned for later:

• Pdf reading
• Output pagination support (automatic headers/footers)
• GUI edit options not available from command-line (.ini-only options)
