Yes, it doesn't work in every page, and it doesn't work exactly like you're thinking it works.

It's a bit more complex than that. For our site, it'd be something like this:
https://www.donation...search2;search=hello

What i meant was that with flash sites, i think it really is impossible. With other sites, there is a chance that the programmer chose the GET method.

I'll keep the "small" one though, it makes a beautiful wallpaper.
Eheh... What a coincidence, that was the first thing i did when i opened that smaller one ;)

Well... Killing all the processes can't be done, or the computer would shutdown! (there are some processes you can't kill ;) ) And autohotkey doesn't have any way to distinguish from user processes and system processes :(

But i added the "bring to top every hour" thing.

I'd like to make a small request too.

Everyone knows that our forum is closely monitored for spam, but with mouser a bit more absent, when the other global mods are a bit more busy some spam can get past the defense lines, like has happened today with 2 or 3 topics that were alive for more time than usual.

Thus, in these situations, i'd like the people who see these posts to press the "report to moderator" link, so that as soon as we get to our e-mail, we can delete those.

Latelly, i haven't had time to follow closely the forum, thus, when i get to read the spammy post, it has already been alive for some time. On the other hand, i check my e-mail several times a day, and read every e-mail immediatelly, thus, if you report the spam, it'll be much more quickly deleted (or moved to the "announce your product" section).

Thanks!

I'm not sure, but i'd say that not even roboform would work on the chrisangel site you mentioned...
That's why people shouldn't make sites in flash, it goes agains every website rule there is :(

Moved to the "announce your product" section.

Interestingly, this is a kind of software that isn't featured anywhere on our forums.

Yes, please.  Preferably delivered in the form of a home reactor, the size of a refrigerator.
That big??
Bah, i want it small enough to fit my laptop! :P

hi foolios!

It's impossible to have something create a link like the one you asked for, that kind of stuff is a webdesigner's (or webprogrammer or whatever) choice, if the person that made the site chooses to use the POST or the GET method. (in the case of the site you showed for example, it's neither, as it is a flash website). If the person who made the site chose the GET method (which is the default method, btw), it's possible to have such a link. If they chose the POST, there's no way.

For more info, check this w3.org article on submit forms.

The other option would be to have something like roboform do it for you, and as soon as you entered that site, the program would fill the form for you. (at least, that's how i think it works)

Well.. If you have a cyber cafe, you probably should be looking for some more developed solutions, more adequate to your situation.

Anyways, here are some tips:
If you're running windows XP pro, run "gpedit.msc", and open user configuration -> administrative templates. Then browse those options, i bet you'll find a bunch of interesting stuff for your situation there.

Also check tweakui, it allows you to disable the display settings (and thus the screensaver settings) IIRC.

As for the log... Currently with the code as it is, it's impossible to add. I'll try to add it when i have time.

Post New Requests Here / Re: IDEA: a Profile-able Workdesk Desktop
« Last post by jgpaiva on November 14, 2007, 01:24 PM »
How about this:
You make the following folder structure:
desktop
-DesktopProfile
-- mom
---mom's files here
-- work
---work's files here
-- home
---home's files here
Then, DesktopProfile reads the desktop folder and gives you a gui with 3 selections: mom, work and home. You select one, and the contents of that folder are moved to the desktop and you get the following folder structure:

desktop
-DesktopProfile
-mom's files here
-- mom
-- work
---work's files here
-- home
---home's files here

Then, when you select another one, the contents of the desktop are moved into 'mom' again, and the contents of the other folder are moved to the desktop.

What do you think about this?

Ok, here it is.

Attached to this post, there are 2 versions of the scipt:
A compiled version wich has the 5 minutes of idle time hardcoded, and
The source code, which has the 5 minutes configurable though the variable "timetoReset", in minutes. (fractions can be used)

If you'd like to change the 5 minutes to something else, download and install autohotkey, edit the .ahk file with notepad, and change the 5 to something else.

Living Room / Re: The Dvorak Zine - fun comic telling story of the Dvorak keyboard
« Last post by jgpaiva on November 12, 2007, 05:34 AM »
This post was written in dvorak! although it is fun and it is true that it causes less strain in the fingers, it breaks almost every shortcut my computer has!
Also, its interesting as the "unlock computer" dialog doesnt respect the current kepboard setting.

[international US mode]
Actually, this gave me some ideas.. I think i'll start using international US keyboard, before my hands die on me.

Still, it was a good experiment. If i worked in the typing business, i'd definitelly use dvorak, but the fact that it breaks all known shortcuts is a no-go.

I'd add another one to the list (and this one has actually happened to me SEVERAL TIMES): when you are writing in (REAL) paper and you make something wrong, you instantly think: ctrl-z

LoL Curt.. I thought you knew about ahk.

Ok, i've compiled that script i posted before. Just run ShutdownNow.exe when your computer starts, and then when you press F12, the computer will auto-shutdown.
Careful, there is NO message, it just forces the shutdown.

hi fbi!
Actually, it isn't exactly a "bug", more of a feature. The problem is that then you can't move them to the size they had before, right?
Here's the solution:
Select the "edge grid", and drop the window on the "Last Size". It'll be resized to the size it had before gridmove last resized it ;)

I'm not sure what you mean, but if it's alias-related, i'm sure nitrix can be of assistance, he can bend those better than mouser ;)
If he doesn't stop by here, send him a pm!
