I have not used it but BootVis might be helpful.
I know of and have usedStartup Delayer but that may only help in finding culprits, not necessarily give you a benchmark or time for each application

What exactly is the reason to even stay with IE6? Unless you are voluntarily or otherwise on Win9x in which case IE7 is not compatible nor is FF3

What am I missing here?

(see attachment in previous post)

Thank you but I meant the question as a way to ask about the 'bug'. I did check the 'show reminder...' and added Jan.1st, so after Jan.1st I got notices that said overdue... and I am still getting it when Feb.28th has passed (of course I haven't 'completed' the task). In general, when setting up an alarm with a start and end date when should one get 'overdues'? and how should the number of days overdue be calculated?

I am not registered at their forum but despite some bugs, one is so trivial that I still think I am mistaken, I like it and it's one of the programs I use most. In general I like 'packages' (alarms, mind map, contact, etc in one place) I will probably jump to four if it's not too expensive, whenever it eventually comes out.
The trivial bug, more like a strange feature, I mentioned is I have a task set to let's say start  Jan.1st and date due Feb28th. What is the proper way to calculate due or overdue and show in popups?

By the way since 9.60 (I hope its not just me or I didn't miss a setting but it certainly didn't use to happen before) on my machine Opera makes itself the default browser when upgrading .
<sarcasm>That's very nice of them</sarcasm>

Sorry for a second post in a row.

As some of you are alluding to there is something missing in the bigger discussion. The problem is how Microsoft is or at least used to go about doing business, not what it was actually bundling. I fully agree with Josh that bundling (setting aside bloat for the moment) is convenient and for most non-techy users even a life saver. And of course Apple has done just as badly not only in terms of its own browser but iTunes and such too.The issue is how MS was trying to put down others with misinformation and other business tactics.

As far as security goes if a software has two 0-day exploits compared to another having 20 doesn't make the one with less good, it just makes it better. Not a earth shattering difference.

How about...Add the $8000 back, take out the $12000, and keep the green and current amount

Just a suggestion

Can't comment on incollector, which I no longer have any recollection.

 ;D

This looks interesting, in pure note taking terms I am happy with CintaNotes but will try this as well

Hope I can install it without problems when forced, had some still inexplicable trouble when upgrading to 7 a while back. Better solution for me would be not getting it until next PC, if my next computer is going to be Windows that is ;)

Mine is not best or award winning but who can identify it?  ;D

Personally I have not seen or heard of special rules or conventions for tagging. I have always tagged using how the word itself is used naturally. Names capitalized, etc.

My experience wasn't bad, of course except the install location. ~3000 photos in my case though. How did it have anything to do with firefox? do you mean their website downloads malware or something?

Speaking of, Photomesa worked for me for a while then started giving exception errors, I uninstalled it a few months ago.

LOL, the obvious answer is that the only way they can meet and avert destruction is in the 10th dimension

Don't like them and in my experience all versions are broken or bypassable. On the forum of which I am an admin I have set up a question and answer and in around the 8 months since spam has been close to zero.

I am not claiming these questions are very insightful or original but still

"Does donating affect the number of visits you make to the site, now and later and by how much?"
"Does it inspire you to learn programming and help others?"

And the answer to this may be obvious or is it?

"Did one particular DC program attract you to donate?"

The recognition to the software author should at least occur once, if a service like filehippo provides updates it must make arrangements with the software author to do so for things such as security updates, if for example the user doesn't want to use a built-in 'call home check for update' feature, going from v2 to v3 (ie a non-security update) straight from an updater may not be a good idea anyway because of changing requirements. Of course it's nice to have a central place to hear about new releases whether they be lifehacker or filehippo but updating straight from there is a bit different IMO.
