I have skipped vista and win7 but I think my new PC will be a win8.-mouser (July 13, 2012, 05:22 PM)
The official DC review of Metro will be something to behold!-TaoPhoenix (July 14, 2012, 07:54 AM)

Gray is great because unlike white it's not so bright for your monitor and unlike black, it's not some hipster reverse psychology pretending to be much clearer and friendlier to the eyes while making every letter seem bold.-Paul Keith (July 14, 2012, 07:43 AM)
I think Paul has been fortunate enough to miss the Fifty Shades of Grey phenomenon: http://en.wikipedia....Fifty_Shades_of_Grey
I've not read it, but have read plenty of reviews for it (which are probably more entertaining that the books). My general impression is that it's a good read - for people that never read novels; so have nothing better to compare it with.-nudone (July 14, 2012, 08:02 AM)
If I didn't know better I'd strongly suspect a chatterbot at work here.-40hz (July 14, 2012, 07:39 AM)

That looks like it might be good software for us to use.
BUT Americans and people who don't want to be gambling real money are directed by the site to download the software from:
When you install it, choose custom install and uncheck the Internet Explorer toolbar button.-mouser (July 14, 2012, 03:22 AM)
That image is clearly shopped. I can tell by some of the pixels. Also because I have seen many shops in my time.-Deozaan (July 13, 2012, 11:18 PM)
A bunch more soldier returns to dog videos here:

#6 is pretty cool because the dog is scared of the "stranger" at first before he recognizes him.
NOTE:
The only thing that detracts from these videos for me is the fact that there is a dog in my building who will react this insanely to every person he meets, whether its the first time you see him or the 100th. So.. some dogs are just drama queens..-mouser (July 13, 2012, 04:59 PM)
FRAPS is tempting, but I have a FREE key for the old Camtasia 5 (from 2008), so even it now is at version 8, it will do for now; a video is merely a video... or something.-Curt (July 13, 2012, 11:14 AM)
-thanks
The idea was simple and easy to test, but... just one minute of using Camtasia 5 => 275MB,
so screen capturing for 1½ hour surely must produce a gigantic² filesize!
or not ?

oh, wait
- I realize I can settle with one file per period. Okay, this will be manageable.
Thanks!-Curt (July 13, 2012, 07:43 AM)
Tonight (in 6 hours from now) Denmark is playing the final match for the World Championship in Beach Handball (against Brazil). The match is being streamed and I would like to keep the video. However, to my surprise Firefox VideoHelper will merely catch small blocks (from 16kb to 237kb) from the stream, not the entire video. I have no experience in catching video streams, so I have come to ask for 'your' advice, please.
We can test your ideas via http://www.dhf.dk/Pr...e_4_x_landskamp_live >> scroll to the red lines; there are also links to other (normal handball) matches being played, or via http://spengerevent....se.at/hem2012stream/ (playing right now as I type).

I just put everything in a normal text file and put it on CDRW and throw it in the safe. If there's ever a change that needs to be made, that's why I use a CDRW! lol-Tinman57 (July 12, 2012, 08:13 PM)

Modern Warfare 3? I haven't seen it for any less than that... and that rarely. Any online outlets you can point to?-wraith808 (July 12, 2012, 07:43 PM)
