Actually, if I understand correctly, there wasn't a bug associated with the number.  You just didn't guess it (or guess it in sufficient time), right?

So, during my last game I had all three of the puzzles I had previously reported errors on show up

You mean these three that previously errored presented in a correct fashion, without crashing your game? (please say "yes").

I'll take a look at the number bug.

Whatever gets implemented, there are a couple of things I'd like to retain from my current customized HTML downloads page: (1) the PHP-powered downloads counters (see left-most column in screenshot), and (2) the mini-images that link to full-size screenshots (see right-most column in screenshot):

actual webpage

The downloads-counters are powered by a custom-PHP script.  Will such things still be possible when the CMS is implemented?

Thanks for the update.

Listened to this today.  Good stuff.  Brings home that old homily that there's the textbook method, then there's the real-world way of doing something.

Where are we at on this initiative?  I'm keenly interested in how this takes shape.

I just finished my 20th eBook of 2011, and started on #21: Marion Zimmer Bradley's "The Door Through Space" (got it free from Project Gutenberg).

Major update.  Version 1.0.1.4 introduces full pie-charting for both coins and bills, and alongside these visual reporting-aids is a text breakdown of percentages of both coins and bills, as they relate to the overall number of each coin or bill denomination, and as they relate to the total value.

Update to this version from within the program by using file menu items "Help"->"About"->"Update", then following the instructions.

Finished Part I of II of the Kinshield Legacy.  Actually, not bad.  Kinda put me in mind of some of the old Forgotten Realm adventure novels.  Interesting, entertaining, but not too strenuous on the mind.  And better written that I'd anticipated it would be.  Certainly worth more than the 99 cent price.  There's a sequel due out sometime this year.

Right now, I'm using WD's 1 TB MyBook Essential's built-in backup software.  It seems fairly sophisticated/capable.  I also do manual backups less often to a different external drive using FBackup4 free edition, and I upload some of those to SkyDrive.

It also requires you to pass a CAPTCHA, saying:

It appears that you have no heart! Please prove that you are really human.

That made me laugh!

LOL!!

There is also emotional-intelligence which, as a licensed psychotherapist, I feel qualified to mention.  Women, as you might guess, tend to score higher than men against those measures of said type of intelligence that has thus far been devised.

+1 to what you said, Curt, though I think it can more accurately be called "wisdom".  The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.  Many of the things you said allude to this:

helping your neighbor
making fair decisions
etc.

Good thoughts!

Not sure if this makes any difference, but my "language for non-unicode programs" is set to Japanese.

I'm not sure either, but I think my fix will take care of it either way.  We'll see.

Again, thanks for your efforts, and congrats on taking the lead high-score in August (you've not reverse-engineered the exe have you [kidding]?):

You're the only one reporting them, and for that I owe you (see your new DonationCredits total).  I found the problem.  Note the odd quotation mark to the left of the word hairy in the screen shot below:

funkyQuotationMark.png

Searched and made sure I've eliminated all such funky quotation characters.  If you'll let me know what your score was just before this bug nixxed your game, I'll manually set it on the online database.

"About" -> "Update" to install fixes-it version.

MUCH thanks for your perseverance, thancock20!

Incidentally, what OS are you running?

Thanks, Ath.

My plan is to have three pie charts: one comparing total coins of each denomination to the grand-total of coins; one comparing total bills to grand-total bills; and a third comparing each denomination (coin OR bill) to the uber-total (all coins + all bills).

Will also computer mean, etc.

Should be out soon.

Regarding AutoVer, I'm definitely going to try it soon, but posts about version 2 beta on their forum made me feel like i should wait a bit.

I tried it and felt it needed a bit more work.
