FWIW, I tried XnView without much success too -- seems like a nice program though.  Thanks for suggesting it JavaJones  :Thmbsup:

I have a proof of concept of the functionality, but it is not in the form of a Windows Explorer context menu item.  It can be invoked by hotkey.

Even if it's not quite what is wanted, may be it will be useful in confirming some of the desired functionality :)

I tried creating a multipage TIFF image with upside-down content for fun using IrfanView.

.TIF files didn't seem to be acceptable so I'll try uploading a zipped TIFF.

Thanks for sharing your success with upgrading :)

Haven't taken the dive yet -- I'm running one of the Nightly builds from Feb of this year.  It works so well that I don't feel tempted to upgrade...yet.

Afraid not!  :(

I've had a good go with Irfanview and was amazed, given the millions of options and buttons, that it won't do what I want.
It is surprising -- unfortunate too.

I looked at the "Command Line Options" section of IrfanView's help file and saw some things which looked relevant:

/filelist=txtfile -        use filenames from "txtfile" as input, see examples below
...
/rotate_r -        rotate input image to right
/rotate_l -        rotate input image to left
/hflip -        horizontal flip
/vflip -        vertical flip
...
/multitif=(tif,files) -        create multipage TIF from input files
...
/extract=(folder,ext) -        extract all pages from a multipage file

I don't suppose a combination of some / all of these and possibly other options might be of any use...

Sorry -- I failed to understand your original post accurately :)  However...

...but the problem with Irfanview is that it only does the current page you're on.  I think batching works on several files but it doesn't handle a multi-page tiff.
I was looking at the "Set for all images" dialog (what comes up after pressing the Advanced button), and I noticed a check box with the label "Apply changes to all pages (if TIF saving)".

Does that not help in this situation?

Perhaps the following doesn't work so well for you, but have you considered the batch operations in IrfanView?

The following outline is for version 4.25.

Menu ->
  File ->
    Batch Conversion / Rename

  • Press Advanced button
  • Select from among Vertical flip, Rotate left, Rotate right, etc.

Also possible via its thumbnail window:

Menu ->
  File ->
    Thumbnails ->

  • Select multiple images
  • Right click and choose "Start batch dialog with files"
  • Continue as described previously

Skrommel's Software / Re: ShortcutFolder.exe deleted as malware by MSE. Why?
« Last post by ewemoa on June 28, 2010, 05:51 PM »
Question 1: Why would MSE think SHORTCUT FOLDER.exe is malware?
Question 2: Why would it not upload like other files would?
Question 3: Is this program discontinued?
For question 1, my guess is that the following thread might be related:

  https://www.donation...ex.php?topic=21327.0

For question2, I don't have any guess.

For question 3, perhaps the following topic will be of some use:

I definitely appreciate being able to search the Code::Blocks forums -- I often find an answer or a clue that helps me out with whatever difficulty is current :)

However, most any decent text editor has keyboard shortcuts to move lines up and down so it should be a simple matter for Jabberwock to manipulate his text listing before pasting it into ReNamer.
ReNamer is my favorite too :)

FWIW, I sometimes sort before pasting into ReNamer and tend to sort with an editor.  I haven't tried with Notepad++, but I noticed that TextFX -> TextFX Tools has some line-sorting-related menu items.

It is unlikely to be at all portable as it requires the installation of some libraries during set up (not least the MS CHM authoring tools).

It can be unpacked using UE, but it's not portable (writes to the registry and the User profile folder).
I've just made a JantePE launcher for this if anyone's interested.
I tried it (and am using XP Pro SP3) -- importing seems to lead to the app terminating.  Was able to create a new book though.

Just wanted to mention that Universal Extractor seems to unpack the setup file ok.

I've copied the contents of the {app} directory to another folder as a part of an attempt to see how portable this is :)

Find And Run Robot / Re: What hotkey(s) do *you* use to trigger FARR?
« Last post by ewemoa on June 25, 2010, 10:27 PM »
BTW, here's a sequence of keys to get FARR to display that became apparent just recently:

  • Win+B
  • f
  • Enter

Or if you want to see FARR's tray icon menu:

  • Win+B
  • f
  • Apps key or Shift+F10

Note: Depending on which tray icons are visible, you might need a different number of presses of fs.

I think I finally get it.

How nice it might be if the 'main' FARR hotkey could be read from FARR via a command line option :)

The sidebar seems convenient as it provides a view that displays a list of items representing pages being monitored:

That does sound weird.

Did you happen to try sending various things to virustotal?

with the option in the explorer windows don't go well and copy nothing to the destination when one or more folders are selected.
Please let me know if this still happens with the latest version.  I did not succeed in reproducing this problem.

All this time i have problem with the folders with names 0135.10 , 127.09 and similars. The script propose only 135 or 127 for the shortcut name.
Thanks for the report and examples.  I was able to reproduce the problem here.  I intend to consider what to do.
