UrlSnooper / URL Snooper Beta Version - 2.06.03 Discussion split

Solved it by disabling it :D

But yeah,it doesn't work for me when it's enabled,i'm on phone line so i don't know if that has anything to do with it.I use to use a program called assniffer by cockos which requires winpcap also,it flat out doesn't work
for me anymore, wierd,i've done a couple of clean installs, bare bones wipe the drive(partition, etc.) in the last
six months, the last being a couple of weeks ago.I got all the recommended and critical updates and for some
reason assniffer and urlsnooper can't recongnize it (til i set it manual) this was not so a little over a year ago
and i've been puzzled ever since.I really like'd assniffer too,it would cache everything that went through your
connection.

It's not a firewall thing either, windows firewall is disabled and i've tried with my Outpost disabled.

Mouser posted while i was editing this but i'll post anyway even if it's redundant :D

This recipe should work, but i'm increasingly running into harder to get to media, and flash seems to be
a good way for people to hide their media

You basically need three things

The finder (finds whats going on in the background when you visit the webpage )<-this is essential to the whole process. The flash file should show up with an extension like,flv.,fla,swf.

Use mousers' url snooper
1)https://www.donationcoder.com/Software/Mouser/urlsnooper/index.html
Right click the Url you find in Url Snooper

And shove it into the...

The download manager
2) I can't really speak for many other download managers, cause i've only used Net Transport, cause it
handles streams so well, etc. But i think a "plain jane" downloader should work

You should have the file on your hard drive at this point to play...
3)The Player,FLVplayer and Media Player classic as mentioned below should play them.

And if you want to convert, well it's kinda a jungle out there, this is the only freeware i can find for that
http://download.riva...ivaEncoderSetup2.exe

A guide for Riva Encoder
How to convert .flv (flash video) to .avi
http://www.videohelp...archive/t259578.html

Here are some flash utility resources i have in my bookmarks ( i haven't used them, just stuff i've glanced
at and might purchase later on)

Amor SWF to VCD SVCD DVD Creator & Burner
http://www.zealot-soft.com/ <i'm thinking about buying from these guys, there programs look pretty
nifty,though i wish they'd combine their resources into one app,i think it's a sales gimmick,but oh well.

Some stuff over here looks promising

Oh i almost forgot,if your dealing with youtube,google video,etc.

Developer's Corner / Re: The Hunt for the Best CMS
« Last post by tinyvillager on May 22, 2006, 10:50 PM »
I find http://pmachine.com/ pretty nifty.
They just released a new version with a wiki http://pmachine.com/products/wiki/

They also have a forum module, for $50,though i know you'd never switch forum software.
And i'm pretty sure their is no migration script from "whatever forum" to pmachine's forum.

Code Igniter
http://www.codeigniter.com/
On a side note one of their main developers offers a PHP framework,Code Igniter.I've seen
through their forum, users being able to create blogs, etc. An example-http://www.commonsdesign.com/

I thought Simplemachines was supposed to come out with a CMS,they polled their members
about the topic a couple of years back if memory serves me correctly.

Strange behavior...

This never happened with older releases, when the files pop up,their appended to donationcoder's domain.

This screencap will explain better.

When you upload your images make sure your using gmail settings tab.
You can't use various email services, only works inside of gmail's web page.Everyone involved has to be
gmail subscribers,i think ,you might be able to pin your own images to contacts.

here are some screencaps...

Very cool, thanks for update,i only checked out maybe two releases of 9 a couple of weeks back and decided just to wait for final.I'm betting the final 9 release will be a very solid package.

/sidenote does anyone have 9 release working with Yahoo's "redesign"
Version 8.54 is a no go.Not that i'm crying out for yahoo or anything.

I'm guessing if you hover your cursor over a contacts name an image will appear, the other party (contact)
has to of uploaded an image, their basically over grown avatars.(i rarely use the web mail part of gmail,so don't quote me on this i use pop)

Just a guess, but i'm betting this will bleed into the features of google talk as well.
On a side note Google Pack dropped trillian from the pack,or maybe trillian dropped google...either way
their no longer in bed together.

If your using Opera, chances are it's not working cause google services and Opera don't get along very well.

Try ---ing  not to--ooo  maaaake personal attacks on nay-sayers,ugh.

I'm not gonna bother with the usenet thread, some people just fit a profile and you'll
never convince them, those who think this site is malicious and confusing either don't give
the premise a five second chance (literally) or are most likely those confused by doors
that open one way (and will stand in front of for 10 seconds).<i witnessed this the other
day and came close to murdering a close family member,i have a very short fuse. :D

I donated to this site before the software key thing (which i fully support) and i donated not out of obligation or promise of reward but out of respect.Respect of genuine software developers, that listen to the end users.I respect the time and effort of the contributers of this site,be it software development or plain old helpful insight. If software discounts and givaways ceased to exist tomorrow i'd still donate and encourage others to do so cause bandwidth isn't free and again their is nothing wrong with rewarding someone with a financial compliment be it out of respect for the individual or the project(s) at large. The forum here practically moderates itself,it seems that way to me anyway, i believe that is do to the quality people donationcoder has attracted. When i listened to the first podcast and heard the different dialects i was amazed and fascinated by the diversity of donationcoder's members, call me naive, but i thought that was pretty damn cool.

Keep up the good work mouser

I'm on the hunt for a good video conversion app. It's a must that it converts real media to other formats.
It's a must the app have a decent user interface. It doesn't have to be freeware but at least be within a $40 price range. On a side note i pretty much have conversion software for every format possible, but real video.
I just hate the ideal of buying a one trick pony though.

If anyone has any insights, not just what to go after but what to stay a thousand miles away from,it
would be helpful.

Thank you.

For the Google lovers out there...

http://mail.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=38354

Copy and paste

"What are Gmail pictures?

Gmail pictures allow you to put a face to a name, by showing user-selected pictures when you roll over a name in your inbox, Contacts, or Quick Contacts list. You can choose your own photo for yourself and for your contacts, suggest a photo for a contact to use, or see what your friends have selected for themselves.

Gmail pictures can be configured to show to all users who you email or who email you, or they can be limited to only those users who are able see when you're online. You can see a full list of users who can see your online status from the All Contacts tab of your Contacts page – they'll be listed with a colored ball next to their name. "

Kinda of neat i guess.

I've tried without screencasting,so it's not other resources slowing it down, hmm,i do not know.
It just seems i have to click on the url several times to get a response.

Love the new features, but when i right click to copy the url's the menu seems a little "slow on the draw".
If that makes any sense,i'll throw up a screencast if need be.
