^ AFAIK the only way to really check it is (again, as Shades says) to actually replace the current internal SSD with your copy - boot and see if it works.

I wanted a backup copy of my laptop HD OS.

it's getting late here, but I think one of these would be the most practical:

# image backup of OS + boot CD (or USB) via same software, for restoring to your current OS drive (or a replacement of same)

# as you are trying to do in quoted post: copy onto a drive with which you can replace the current OS drive (as Shades says, you would have to remove current drive and replace with copy)

When I am trying to download the DirectX addon, I am getting an error message: "404, We're sorry.. The page you have requested could not be found."
Please, reupload the addon for the newest version of Screenshot Captor, thank you.

hi FemShep,
see the post above:

The addon is an amazing feat of work written by another coder, but it just never worked reliably enough to be usable.
Part of the problem from a coder's standpoint was that it had to keep trying to hit a moving target, with all the new versions of directx, etc.

^ aahh okay, that makes sense: I thought (like Miles I think) that that arm made sounds -- I mean directly as opposed to indirectly.

Did I get it wrong or did it look in one of the sections of the vid where it showed the internal belt feeding through, that there were squares on the belt that actually made the melody?  Sort of like the cylinder on a player piano.
that true

It didn't seem to me as if the marbles were required accept as eye candy.  Maybe I imagined it.
no, they were working too --
I *think* they were playing the guitar strings, and they were definitely playing the xylophone, and generally making clacky sounds :-)

I must try textarea cache, thanks for the tip & download. Lazarus doesnt work with the InfoQube forum (which uses html WYSIWYG as opposed to BB code).

I switched from LastPass (bad security reputation, payware Android support) to KeePass with KeeFox (in Firefox) resp. chromeIPass (in Vivaldi) and the well-designed mobile app Keepass2Android. YMMV.

any chance of a brief pros/cons comparison of those two in terms of usage?
Currently using Lastpass myself (but only on windows).

The 'well-designed mobile app' wont help me on windows smartphone, but I see there is also a Keepass option there (sorry no link). But I'm mostly interested in desktop.

It really does look to me like google has decided to kill any connection between Youtube and g+. Alternatively this could be just on some accounts...
Either way, pity for me because that was my main use of it.
turns out I'm behind the times,
this from the official youtube blog, Monday, July 27, 2015:
With today’s announcement from Google+, you’ll see more changes. The comments you make on YouTube will now appear only on YouTube, not also on Google+. And vice-versa. This starts rolling out today.
http://youtube-globa...outube-comments.html

Unfortunately they no longer show comments made on videos in your YouTube channel (the 'recent activity' option no longer includes comments). In other words, AFAICS there is no easy way to keep a record of your YT comments. If you make a comment, you will have to bookmark it search for it if you want to find it again...

Damn. It wasnt a lot, but I did have something going there. Gone. Ah well.

What is means is that if you repeated this experiment over and over with a perfectly fair die, rolling this many times, you would expect the counts to fall within those red bars, 95 times you ran the experiment out of 100.

thanks, I had missed your previous post (edited post to reflect that).
This is very impressive

Image looks great :)

In the image, what exactly does 'red is 0.95 confidence int. for fair die' mean?
Does it mean that within the range of the red lines in the bar-chart means you have 95% 'confidence' in the results?

Damn, I see you already answered that in your previous post. So, this die is not fair, due to the results for 5 being too high (took me a while to figure that out :-[ )
