Another thing I could do is show hints for the list of keyboard shortcuts for region select mode in the zoom panel overlay, to make it easier to remeber them..

YES!

-cranioscopical (February 13, 2018, 09:54 PM)

Agreed as long as they're minimal and don't get in the way of the region.  I don't use  anything other that the basics because I don't remember...

And my response is in that same vein, I thought.

Say what now?

To be fair, the first two Thor movies played it straight and were just not good. So I guess it's an improvement that at least Ragnarok was funny and entertaining.

I felt GotG2 suffered from many things, but not the humor. With the exception that Drax, who it was established in the first film didn't understand humor and sarcasm, was the one cracking all the jokes and laughing all the time, which seemed very out of character. (I felt that many of the characters acted out of character in 2.) So in that sense, and in those instances, the humor fell flat in my opinion. But otherwise, I came into it expecting a lot of humor, since the first was so funny.
I actually liked the first one best as a movie, just not the pacing. I never saw the second for anything other than what everyone ekse was saying which colored my views, but I couldn't get past that in order to formulate my own opinion.

It seems the marvel movies are suffering from the same thing that (as I understand) tends to happen in comics: Each one tries so hard to out-do the previous entries, with the characters and their enemies becoming even more powerful, until the stakes get raised so high it becomes increasingly bombastic and absurd.

It seems that it was more the director, than the overall marvel movies, IMO.  It seems like it's more along the lines of Heavy Metal, which works if you know that going in, like I did (and many others as it's at 92% RT).  The only ones that were really humorous through and through were GotG 1 & 2 and Ant-Man.  GotG2 suffered for it- Ant-Man did not.

It seems to me that there is some fatigue with Superhero movies, but it's not necessarily as much as the fatigued would want it to be, and much like Pixar, people are waiting for the fall, so their predictions can be right.

So, it looks like it's superfetch, and using at the peak 800MB, but currently almost 600 MB.  I've had problems with SuperFetch before on another system, and just disabled it.

It has an entry in the services control panel.  Just go to that entry and disable it.  It doesn't affect anything, so you can try this without worries.

Hi

Yes, that was what i asking for.
Part that make confuse was , when you open command path it will ask for exe, bat, - you cant select folder.

So, i just put manually folder path and its done :). Thanks for assistance

btw Insert Image is different from most of forums ...... there is popup on click but no explanation how to use. Its not big deal just for info
Thanks 1 more time..... :)

I fixed your image.  The difference from other forums is that you have to upload the image as an attachment, and then insert it into the post as an image.  This way makes it so that the image is hosted on the DC server in case the other server goes down, and it also keeps the browser away from questionable advertising techniques.

During an 'intercom' call I find myself resorting to the old 'over' convention  ;D

Even so, were I making a call in a >2-person household, I would want the ability to cut out people for whom the call was not intended. Google Home Mini doesn't offer that.

I thought this seemed like it had been 'announced' before, but I  didn't care enough to look it up.

But that's it, the headless computer at home was running 8.1 for a couple of years after all other machines were upgraded to 10, (it only changed from 8.1 to 10 in the last couple of months}.

So for the last 2 years or so I've been RDP from 10 to 8.1.

Yeah, sorry, I should have said I've been RDP from 8.1 and 10 for the last couple of years.

Not sure.  But I deal with it every day, and have since I was given a Windows 8.1 machine  I think it also has to do with RDPing non-direct, i.e. from network to network over VPN.
1943
Must be a YMMV thing, I never had any problem using RDP to my headless XP/8.1 machine either from the same LAN or from the UK, using laptops/computers running 8.1.

The problem is going from Windows 10 to Windows 8.1, and the Support guy showed me the MS advisement.
1944
Even though I'm using Win 10 Pro, Windows 8.1 Pro was better.

More efficient than 7 but with less aggravating "we want to know everything you do, it's really our machine" than 10.

I hated Windows 8, more for the interface features, and the little peculiarities.  And example... I connect via RDP to my work laptop from home.  I've stopped using  it and use my Windows 7 box instead, mostly because after RDPing for a bit (random amount of time) it flakes out.  And it's a known problem, and the only fix is to RDP from some other platform.

Under the "Mark Topic" button at the top and bottom of a thread you can bookmark the thread and do other things like this.
Thanks. Marked it. But it is not the same as I wished.
I want to mark  a specific message and not the full topic which may have many messages. Also same for bookmark, i.e. a specific message is bookmarked for later perusal.
Anyway, this will do, till we have what I require. One more suggestion is to show text as "Mark Topic .." so that we get the idea it has something more. Now it looks like a button for one job.

Regards,

Anand

We'd talked about this before, and the same was suggested.  I think it would require more coding time when other things are more pressing was the response.

In this era of longer is better, I think the movie suffered from that (and TFA and Rogue One, truth be told).  Star Wars movies, if you look back, have been at that 2 hour mark.  But in most cases in the original trilogy, no matter how long, they earned that run time.  The prequels started this tendency to put things in for inexplicable reasons that could have been cut- or at least cut back.  This one continues that tendency.

As far as the Snoke reveal, we always knew that the true hero/villain of the story were Rey and Kylo Ren.  The Snoke bit was always a misdirection to me.  He had the feel of the Emperor.  The same Emperor that even in the prequels was never truly explained.  What I'm more interested in is the conflict between characters than some huge big bad.  They did a good job of cutting out the fat in that regard.  Though Phasma is the Boba Fett of this trilogy.  I wonder if they'll create a copy of her (clone, relative) to realize the potential of the character, like they did with Jango.

At the end, I found myself excited to see where they're going, and that's my indication of the fact that I'm in the "I like it" camp.  They just need to develop their secondary storylines more, and in a more realistic manner.  Poe, Finn, and Rose seemed shoehorned in to increase the runtime.  I like the characters, but those storylines really were not necessary.  Why wouldn't Holdo tell Poe what the plan is?  She knows he's a hothead, so the best way to disarm him?  Include him.  It seems obvious.  That's lazy writing.  Same thing with the Casino world, and meeting someone that didn't fit the description they'd been given, but can happen to hack the shields.  That's less lazy than bad writing.

I really want to like Finn.  His back story is unique.  But he feels like a Jar Jar to me (that starting bit with him awakening was jarring and unnecessary, and they never overcame that image, even when he was on his suicide run.  I really like Poe.  But he's less like Han Solo as the loose cannon than a real joke, which is sad considering his demonstrated skills.

The primary story... that's a good thing with a few nitpicks.  But the secondary stories... not so much.

Perhaps instead of continuing to spoiler in a thread that is meant for Movies seen lately and putting it into a thread meant for that with spoiler warnings, we might have conversation on the subject?  This way seems a bit ... strange.

Looks like they made a similar mistake last year:

https://www.ghacks.n...-nany-2016-releases/

They posted about the apps submitted for NANY 2017, but called it NANY 2016 (as you can see in the URL, the article itself has since been updated to refer to it as NANY 2017).

There's something strange going on with those links... I can't even find the one for NANY 2018 as the link provided goes to their NANY 2017 from last year.
