"link"? Now that's a descriptive attibute name. Sure has everything to do with what that attribute is intended to contain...

I think that if apple decided not to use favicon nor let poeple custumize the icon, that's their fault, and it shouldn't be everyone else's responsibility to fix their error.

Find And Run Robot / Re: [Bug report?] farr - short freeze every 6 launch/close
« Last post by jgpaiva on January 17, 2008, 06:48 AM »
Ok, i've made the test program.

On my system, it takes 45seconds to create the file, and 37 to read it. (it's a 10000 entry ini, with 173kb).

All you have to do is run the attached file once to create the .ini file, and once to read it. It'll also display the time it took to run.

(i'd also be interested in other people's numbers, so if anyone could try it too..)

[edit] corrected file size [/edit]

Armando: i find it strange that you have the exact same problem with gridmove (it taking too long to read the ini file).

Would it be possible that there's some issue with your windows instalation? Have you experimented this with other programs?

What do you think about me making a dummy program so that you can compare your ini reading times with other's computers?

Suleika just gave me the perfect idea:
Most laptops have a key for turning off the monitor! It should be in the fn+F-something range. (in my acer, it's fn+F6).

I very frequently use the "fit-to-window-width" feature in opera, even with DC. It's useful because i usually have opera's window resized to a small with window (at least thinner than usual).

Ok, it should be no problem doing this.
If nobody does it before, i'll do it tomorrow.

PS: may i ask why would this be useful?

I quit using AV on my development machine because I got tired of it deleting the projects I was working on right after they compiled. <-That drove me nutz for an hour one night.
  That'd drive me insane!
AV's are obviously getting dumber by the day. (or viruses are getting smarter and AV's are having a hard time keeping up with them ;) )

Given the recent events muntealb mentioned in his post, i really really wouldn't download that text editor. (actually, maybe you should remove the link or something, muntealb Curt - done)

[edit] bah, i really should read stuff more thoroughly! [/edit]

 ;D ;D ;D

It sure is a fun game! Took me a bit to understand exactly how it works, but it's really fun :)

Just a suggestion: You might add a "wrong guess" limit, like 1 or 2 ;)

If there was a program that'd copy a file to the clipboard, mouser could easily add a "launch program X with file as argument" option that would solve this request (and probably a bunch of future requests)..

lanux: apparently, everyone is misreading the request. (i also did the first few times i read it).

What he wants is to copy the file itself to the clipboard, not the image. Copying the file would allow you to paste it at the desktop, for example. (this refers to exactly the same thing as hitting ctrl-c on a file on windows explorer)

It's just about the only option possibly missing on that "on capture" dialog ;)

I support both of dishael's suggestions. For some intermidiate editing, paint.net is great, and i use faststone maxview as my image viewer, and it's just perfect!

Yes, lanux, you're right. I've modified the 2 posts above and replaced [attach] with [attachthumb].

But.. Out of curiosity, what's that %temp%?

Craniscopical: try going to %temp% in windows explorer. That's your temp folder :)
