Fasting Schedule:

Screenshot - 11_28_2018 , 9_04_06 PM.png

https://play.google....oder.fastingschedule

Fasting Schedule is a minimalist dieting application for facilitating reduced-caloric intake, by allowing you to set up a daily time schedule for when you can eat vs when you should be fasting. It should run nicely on any screen size.

This app is similar to my others, but is designed for people who want a regular schedule of periods of eating and fasting (or restricted caloric intake).  You just configure the schedule specifics and that's it.   It would normally be used to set up a daily schedule but you could span a week of time if you wanted to have full days of fasting, etc.

The other trick, if the $$1 string has characters that aren't being encoded right, would be to try $$u1 or $$h1 instead of $$1.
1855
You should be able to do this easily with farr, and make a skype call alias to help you.. the only tricky part might be the encoding of the characters for :+-?
let me experiment and see..

I plan to release 1 or 2 more "experimental" diet apps -- or perhaps more accurately, restricted eating apps.
I already have two (Feast Day Fast Day, and Feast Decreaser).

The new ones will just be me experimenting with different systems for restricted caloric intake / intermittent fasting, which has shown health benefits and increased longevity.

Living Room / Re: New SSd in an aging PC
« Last post by mouser on November 24, 2018, 08:07 AM »
Both approaches (buying largest ssd and cloning your existing c drive and buying smaller ssd for only the operating system and apps) are valid and have their pros and cons.

There are real benefits to having multiple hard drives in the same pc -- one ssd and one standard -- for the purposes of backups and huge collections of files.  So whichever way you go I would encourage having a large mechanical hard drive (2-8 tb).

With that taken as given, I would aim to use the SSD to store all of the contents of my Program Files directory (that is, the Operating system plus all installed apps), and have it be less than half full, for future growth.  Preferably a lot less.

If you can get that done in 250gb, which it seems you should, then that would be just fine.  I wouldn't hesitate to put my documents on a separate mechanical drive.

On the other hand, as folks point out, having everything on an SSD *will* be a noticable speed improvement.  The ssd is one of the biggest speed upgrades you can get.

The holiday isn't important, but I am grateful to know all of you and I am thinking of, and toasting to, all of my friends here.

I hope you are all having a nice day and are grateful for whatever happiness and optimism you might think of.

Option to save folders as favourites;

Excellent ideas, I will add.

« Last post by mouser on November 19, 2018, 07:20 AM »
Sorry I didn't notice this post earlier!

Ok let me think on this and come up with a reply.. The one tricky part of your request is the idea of saving in a different directory than what it is showing in the thumbnail panel, because SC does not contemplate these being different.
That's not to say it couldn't be done, just that I have to think about it..

It might not be too hard to have an option that tells SC to reset back to a specific folder on certain occasions (startup, when showing main window, before capturing), so that could be an overall solution..

I have to remind myself about the idea of changing automove folder.. i don't remember that.

Very nice! I didn't know it would be possible to intercept and modify the text in an input box in that fashion.  Very neat.

He's talking about Screenshot Captor.

The answer is: Yes, you can install and use Screenshot Captor on all of your computers.

We are very informal and flexible here.  You can use the same license key on all of your different computers, and your family computers, etc.
There are no network license checks, no checks for the number of installs, etc.

(It's only if you are a large company installing the software on lots of computers that we ask you to get a commercial license).

And thank you for your support of our site!  :-*

No one has answered this yet? Maybe as a more general question you would be interesting in general apps that can display visual patterns or designs and screens for use in a visual show, and maybe folks have some suggestions for that?

Now I'll be looking into something similar myself, thanks!

Also thanks here, i need a couple of pair and somehow didn't think to check if you could buy replacements on amazon.. Didn't realize it was such a common problem.  Planned obsolescence sounds right to me.

I believe the poster wants to be able to call this program from his script, to present the user with a window with a license/policy to read, and then make the user choose ACCEPT or DECLINE (cancel), and then read the return code from the program to know which choice the user made.

Android Apps / Re: Mouser Android Apps Updated 11/14/18

Yeah the widget foreground color option is new and isn't used in my apps yet, other than for Point Motivator.

I ran into a weird issue I couldn't find a solution to (if I set a foreground text color in an Android RemoteViews from WidgetProvider, it doesn't reset to default when the widget is rebuilt, meaning I have to FORCE the foreground text color, and I can't figure out how to force it to default color).

I just want to make sure you aren't saying I broke something in the PBOL widget or changed its default color.
