i use nod32 as well (really like it), but i never get any alerts. you must have it set to warn you on heuristic guesses.

btw for those who haven't seen one of these ebook readers like the kindle with special grayscale screens -- they look completely different from a laptop lcd -- they are much closer to looking at real paper -- it's quite impressive.

well then let me add a clarification -- not only does the device have to support pdf -- it has to support it NATIVELY -- without requiring me to go through any annoying conversion process the way amazon's first kindle did (new kindle's dont have this problem).

regarding xgood point, i need to add one -- i should have one somewhere.

as far as the linux -- will add and make it user chooseable; just need the icons.

country flags are nice idea -- the 16x11 will work fine.

Minor update with some fixes:

v2.72.01 - August 27th, 2009

[MinorFeature] You can now set the color of the thumbnail panel.
[MinorFeature] Interface Options now split into two tabs.
[BugFix] Triggering zoom-to-selection was reducing the selection size by one pixel on right and bottom edge.
[BugFix] Option to grab scanner background was not happening early enough so sometimes autoselection of foreground was not working in scanner captures.
[MinorFeature] SC now asks for confirmation when using the Delete All action.
[BugFix] When thumbnail panel was disabled completely, changes to the current file by an external tool were not detected.
[BugFix] Thumbnail/file panel was not being updated after unhiding it.
[BugFix] SC was not remembering what monitor it was last on in multi-monitor configurations. sorry!
[BugFix] SC was moving to primary monitor after a region capture.
[BugFix] Post-capture dialog was showing on primary monitor regardless of main form position.

As i've been doing lately, i've uploaded the new version to the normal location, but i have not told the updater about it yet -- so if you want to grab latest, check for updates, then right click and say download even though not net.

This way i can hopefully get some reports from power users back before the update is recommended to everyone.

here's the thing -- i dont care if they want to add 100 different crappy drm things to it -- as long as they let me bring over ordinary pdf files (and like f0dder said an html browser would be very useful).

point is -- i dont care what drm stuff they want to support since i have no intention of buying any drm'd books or content.

i just want to be able to read papers in pdf/ps format, and i have to be able to read it full sized without scrolling, and be able to mark it up wth my own annotations.

i get confused because of the different options and dif states of the numpad.

anyone want to clarify which config of numpad state and result state (displaying normal list, displaying memo like calculator) is not working and how it should work.

i use my laser printer a lot still. i prefer reading papers in printed form then on screen.
however i must say that i have been looking at the handheld ebook readers lately .. my conclusion is that when they come out with one with a full letter page sized screen, i might take the plunge.

cool, thanks for sharing omadeon.

i need to make it easier for people to share alias "packs" -- if you want to try making one, you could go to your alias directory and make a copy of the MyAliases.alias file and then rename it to like multisearch.alias and then edit out the items in their so that only the multisearch alias is there. then make a zip file of just that .alias file and the icon files.

i only mention it because its easier for people to just unpack an alias file and icon files instead of having to add and configure the alias themselves and then if you ever improve it they can just copy in the new multisearch.alias file, etc. just an idea! thanks for sharing.
