RJBull, I Highly recommend Spamato. It is a very decent spam filtration system which utilizes 6 different filtering styles from bayes to white listing. I used it a few months back in thunderbird but since moving to fusemail and hosting my own domain WITHOUT A CATCHALL, I have stopped receiving spam :) But yes, spamato is a great way to go and it can run as a "proxy" of sorts for any email client you use. Give it a shot.

That was the fault of MS Patch 918231 "Random dog bites might occur if you run calculator at the same time as either notepad or excel".

I prefer to rely on patches from the source. I figure MS knows which patches are meant for the public. I've seen too many users who feel they have to have EVERY patch when certain ones are designed to fix a specific issue which is not affecting their machines.

J-Mac, I am not saying there is anything wrong with one hit wonders, check out the new radicals and their song "You get what you give". There are some great one hit wonders out there, however, in the modern age you cannot justify purchasing an entire album just for one good song. Now, that said, iTunes and the digital music world has helped aide this as you can now buy a single track, however, like I said, this is helping to weed out the bands which are truly great and those which are just trying to get their name out there with a single song.

Am I the only person who has NEVER had a problem with an update from MS? Any problem I have is usually caused by another product and NOT the Windows OS or a patch to one of its components.

J-Mac, I believe that to be 40hz's point. Most artists now-a-days are one hit wonders. You end up buying a cd (not you and i, but most consumers) for that single song. With the advent of iTunes, you can now purchase that one song. iTunes, in my opinion, is a great indicator of a band's true popularity as you can use it to determine what bands are really popular and which are relying on a single song or two to push them through the economy and fan base.

Greatest hits albums are released based on the most popular songs of a band. They are used when normal album sales aren't selling as much as they should, or in some cases, when a band has reached high popularity such as korn. Korn did not release a greatest hits album until after their 7th studio release. Same goes with the beetles. Most of their music consisted of hits. What they did was take the most popular songs and put them out on a CD or record.

Rich? Most albums I purchase INCLUDE a digital download edition, such as metallica's latest.

I support most bands that I listen to on a daily or weekly basis. Bands like Metallica, megadeth, slayer, disturbed, korn, etc. I will always buy their cd and in the case of Metallica's latest release (death magnetic), I bought the coffin box gift set which includes the CD, digital download, demo cd, dvd with making of footage, guitar picks, bonus code for download of a live show, poster, flag, and a bunch of other things. I will then rip the CD to a VBR mp3 set as I don't believe that the different in quality for FLAC or other "lossless" audio files is worth the extra space. The difference between the two I don't even really notice, if at all.

Zaine, I don't know if you have figured it out, but I am your arch nemesis from betanews, Metshrine, the man whom you think works for a competing product because I don't like xyplorer :) Peace man! I really dont like the bickering that was started a few months back because of my first review.

But yes, perhaps we should make DC Warriors. I bet we could talk nudone into drawing some characters for us. The first and foremost character would be the "Mighty Mouserer", the one who leaves a conversation suddenly and without warning to pursue other hobbies such as breaking/repairing air conditioners, dental work, and self-inflicted bus missings.

Carol, I agree, lets delete this thread. Most of these posts appear to solely be just to bolster the product when the user has no intent on returning unless this thread is updated (Which is when most of these users returned according to their profiles). I say move this to a hidden forum so we don't aide a spamming product in boosting its rating in google.

I just don't understand how microsoft's engineer's didn't see this as an issue during testing. I mean, from the start of UAC I know users have been suggesting that they add the ability to whitelist programs and let them run regardless. Even a "Trust all from this publisher" for signed executables (I.E. the sysinternals suite).

It's not blank. It has one page with text on it. It starts out as such:

Welcome to Mousering for dummies. This book will guide you through what it means to mouser someone as well as how to go about...

That is the sole line of text in the book. Then it cuts back in around page 254 and finishes off with

mousering someone.
