Why was this moved to the basement? And, unfortunately, moving topics breaks the image links-wraith808 (December 19, 2012, 10:28 PM)

the moon is 1/4 the size of the Earth's diameter, and 238miles from the Earth
Uhm.....I think the moon is a little further than 238 miles from Earth.I think it's like 225,291 to 251,910 miles from the Earth depending on its elliptical orbit at the time.
-Tinman57 (December 19, 2012, 08:11 PM)
, fixed, now says 238,000
If serious...wut? You know the moon MOVES right?, so for that ENTIRE time, it would have to be moving, very fast, from side to side, to avoid visible detection...not to mention detection from space bound telescopes that are way out of the way of the moon o.0-Stephen66515 (December 19, 2012, 06:45 PM)
Hey! It's a crazy f*cked up Universe...work with me on this.
At least I didn't mention anything about its stealth capabilities.-4wd (December 19, 2012, 06:55 PM)
It's been hiding behind the Moon all the way in, when it's close enough to the Moon its gravitational force will pull it aside, (or it could run it down), and then it will hit the Earth 1.49 hours later.
You're going to bring up the fact that an object that size will be visible behind the Moon aren't you?
The Tardis Effect explains this anomaly: Big objects far away look smaller than small objects really close.-4wd (December 19, 2012, 06:40 PM)

Instagram, which was recently acquired by Facebook, has announced that it is updating its terms of service and privacy policy. Some of the new changes, that will be effective on January 16, 2013, have sparked off protests from users.
The new terms of service and privacy policy will bring them in line with Facebook's policies. In a post on its blog, Instagram assured users that, "nothing has changed about your photos' ownership or who can see them" and added that the "updated privacy policy helps Instagram function more easily as part of Facebook by being able to share info between the two groups. This means we can do things like fight spam more effectively, detect system and reliability problems more quickly, and build better features for everyone by understanding how Instagram is used."
Though Instagram in the blog post says that the "updated terms of service help protect you, and prevent spam and abuse as we grow," it does not highlight the clause 2 under Rights which says, "Some or all of the Service may be supported by advertising revenue. To help us deliver interesting paid or sponsored content or promotions, you agree that a business or other entity may pay us to display your username, likeness, photos (along with any associated metadata), and/or actions you take, in connection with paid or sponsored content or promotions, without any compensation to you."
@lostart: Dear Instagram, please change your name to more adequately portray your abusive terms of service: instaGRAB!
@kidzrevil: So instagram is turning itself into a stock photo agency. A stock photo is kinda like a template a company could buy to make an ad with.
@justimage: Not surprised Facebook's Instagram is evil. Sadly, I think people will still use it. Big blow to photographers.
@prague360: Goodbye instagram. I'm uninstalling you now. I never want to see you again
@ReformedBroker: Facebook's terms of service changes to Instagram are hilarious. It's like they want us to hate them
@markonen: I am basically trusting that enough of you guys will delete your Instagram accounts to reverse the policy without me having to do anything.
@bozoskeleton: Never been happier that I don't Instagram: now they want to sell users' photos because they own them!
@buzzbishop: Just in case you thought @instagram was trustworthy and wont do evil, look what they did to
@jdross: Heh... apparently even Zuckerberg's wedding photographer isn't a fan of the new Instagram.
@MarcelloNine: I guess Instagram has wrote their suicide note!-www.twitter.com
it may just be me but my tits dont go blue wen they are cold lol they tend to go red hahalmfao

Police are appealing for witnesses to a horrific crash in Melbourne's leafy eastern suburbs.
A 24-year-old Maroochydore man is in The Alfred hospital after his car burst into flames, having ploughed through a fence and a pole before smashing into a tree in Toorak on Sunday night.
Police believe it was a single-car crash. Investigators have been told a white Ford Falcon was travelling west on Malvern Road before the driver lost control near Orrong Road hitting a fence, a pole and then a tree before catching on fire about 10.20pm.
Firefighters extinguished the blaze and the man, who was the only person in the car, was taken to The Alfred hospital where he is now in a stable condition.

I think I understand what you mean...so here is a video...if I am wrong...tell me, and I shall re-do it-Stephen66515 (December 16, 2012, 07:28 PM)
very slick video Stephen (what do you use?)
The tip with the numbering is superfluous (it wont screw anything up though!) - the only reason it would be necessary to add numbers would be if you had, say four attachments, and you realised you had attached them in the wrong sequence -
then you could use e.g.
[attachimg=1]
[attachimg=4]
[attachimg=2]
[attachimg=3]
- in this example, the fourth file attached would be shown as the second image in the post.-tomos (December 17, 2012, 08:51 AM)

There has never been a better time to start designing game environments and level designs. More game engines and level editors are becoming readily available for free or small price of the game to anyone who wants to learn how to level design. But with more choices, comes indecision. Especially if you are just beginning your journey into level design and game environment art.
What game engine should you start with? What level editor do you choose to work with? What is the difference between a game engine and a level editor? How do you download level editing tools and game engine to work with? Is UDK better then CryEngine 3 SDK or is Unity 3D the way to go? Which Source Engine game should I start mapping for? What is the difference between game environment artist and level designer?
Where do I start?
In this tutorial I want to help you choose which level editor and game engine you may want to start with. I will cover the basics and then go more in-depth to help you choose the "right" game engine and level editor.
