Seems like program akin to what MalwareBytes does.

Competition with Comodo's Chrome based?

It'd be nice to hear about an Edge based for a change.
So many Chrome clones out there!
It's getting to be like the countless Linux distros.

With Adguard (browser extension and Windows app), 360 TotalSecurity (with Avira + Bitdefender enabled) and Malwarebytes on the go... i really don't think i need to worry much more or should i?

Living Room / Newbud - a new independent news project
« Last post by dantheman on January 16, 2016, 01:40 PM »
This might not come as news to those familiar with James Corbett and friends.
Just thought a bit of good publicity could help the cause to get that extra thrush for a good start.

Newsbud is a new independent news project being promoted by Sibel Edmonds.
You can view a presentation through her weblog here.
Do wish Sibel and company all the success possible on this new endeavour!

You're a pro IanB!
Shall work with desktop version only.
Thanks a bunch!

Ya, Microsoft does have that habit of confusing us (Hotmail to Live to Outlook...).
Ever try do a search for Outlook client and not Outlook email?  :(

Anyhow, are you aware of a trick to send notes from one notebook to another?
184
Exactly!
CliptoOnenote works just fine in Firefox (for me) whereas the "official" one for Chrome just does like a photocopy, no active hyperlinks.
185
Can you try running that CHM with admin rights?
Don't know how to do that.  :-[

@mouser, i don't have same options as you show:
http://imagizer.imag...g907/1092/cOf2sn.png
and here's what i get when i do open it:

@skwire, thank you just the same.
Perhaps a the future version...
187
Pardon me for shifting to another issue.
When clipping with extensions like the one available for Chrome, the hyperlinks are no longer active within the Onenote app.
I recall one for Firefox by a private dev. didn't have that problem.

Hi,

Just installed Splat on Windows 10 (which I'm trying to like) and was looking for help in the programs help section but there's nothing there yet.
Is it possible to launch volume controls (increase, decrease, mute)?

Much obliged and congrats to the dev for recent public kudos!

Skydrive, Onedrive, call it whatever it is today - was never my first choice.
Slow to sync (for a long time) for one...
Anyway Dropbox is still very good and there are others like Copy (very fast and good too!).

@40hz, wonder if your friend had considered modifying backup folder as a plan "b" to protect his data in case Onedrive has a hick again?

Can't help to admire folks at Evernote or Cintanotes who have limited budgets to work with.
Then again, suppose Microsoft can't be good at everything they do, can they?  :D

A quick trip today to see how Onenote online is doing and alas, it seems to be broken.

First, you can "find in page" or "find in section" but there's no more "find in notebook".
Second, a search result of "find in section" showed 8 to be found but only clicking on those findings only resulted with certain elements on the default start page being hightlighted. Sheeessh!

Another Microsoft blunder, i say!

For the record... have upgraded to Windows 10 official version and HotkeyP is doing just fine.

Thanks a bunch guys for the tip!

p.s. just wish "ublock origin" wouldn't be so picky about downloading from Source Forge.

Ya, i don't know why, sometimes FF does super good for me and at others no.
Could it be your adblock extension?
I've been using AdGuard without a problem.
uBlock Origin i did not like.
AddonsMemory can help you to determine which extensions are resource hogs.

Think its 'cause you have to clear the cache out once in a while.

Did try Nightly and don't find it any better than present stable.
197
@rjbull,
Do appreciate your findings and shall keep them in mind.
Think i'll be content with Hotkeyz for now, for i've decided to renounce to the Windows 10 Preview as well as the upcoming upgrade on July 29.

@skwire,
I'm still interested in your work!

Thank you all for lending a helping hand.
198
Sounds good skwire!

Just re-installed Windows Preview 10162 (update to 10240 or later probably tomorrow or so) and configured Splat to start up on reboot and it did just fine. It came out maximized so i'll check up to see if it remembers last window size.

The "shutdown" option is working just fine thank you!

It would be nice to see the other options (and more) 'cause there's really no easy alternative to Hotkeyz.

update: just to confirm that user defined resize of app window came back at reboot.
199
Is it possible to configure things like "eject media", "increase/decrease sound volume", "mute", "shutdown"?
Reason i'm asking, have been using Hotkeyz for these things and it isn't being upgraded and won't work well with Windows 10.

It's odd that this chap recommends doing away with flash (coincidence that it appears at same time you post here?):
http://www.techsuppo...ing-flash-player.htm
Can html5 replace it 100%?

BTW, did you try FF beta before going to extremes with Nightly?

Classic T.R. is cool. Just hope it doesn't break up along the way like many other extensions deemed useful.
