Elite Freeware is the first to sport a mention of the final results! 

A new year has come and with it lots of new stuff appear in the horizon like for example software, more specifically free software written and released by my friends over at Donationcoder.com
Of course this is all part of NANY 2010 (New Apps For The New Year) and i obviously shall be taking a loook at what these fine people have come up with in the coming days just after i get over this massive hangover of booze, drugs, ladies of the night and massive naked destruction of hotel rooms, you know the usual stuff. So everyone get ready while i gather enough money for bail and check these programs out.

I think if i had any suggestions it would be to simplify this and focus on the one unique use of it -- filling up the free space on a removable drive.  if the program was focused on that, the interface could be made quite a bit simpler and i think more easily grasped by novice users.

i also think it would be nice to explain what the read only usb setting actually does.

Anyone have any good new years resolutions they want to share?

I've got the normal ones, more reading and writing, less goofing off.  More exercise and better eating.

I think the main "meta" resolution I have this year is to keep stricter and more explicit self-imposed deadlines.  I have a nice big wall calendar this year and i'm looking forward to being a strict taskmaster for myself in terms of blocking out time.

I'd also like to write a nice cross-platform application that uses plugins.

We all need to give a huge thanks and round of applause to Perry Mowbray for making NANY 2010 happen this year.

He is one of the most cheerfully hard working fellows I've met, and it's just not conceivable to me any more that the NANY event would be the same without him.

i don't know any applications that create startup entries without the option to disable, but i can definitely see how this would be useful if you had one.

if you just double-click the executable it gives an error about a value not being an integer.
i think a nice thing to do would be to show someone a simple message about how to use it if they launch it like that; a readme would be nice too.

seems work as promised -- i think the idea of filling up all the free space on a usb drive to avoid any malware getting onto it, while perhaps not foolproof, is pretty clever.

Utimately would be nice to not have to copy the subdiv program into the folder you want to sort and have some more options, but it's off to a good start.

Is it supposed to remember the auctions between restarts of the program? that would be a nice feature?
Click Options button or About button dont seem to have any effect.

Like skwire says.. it's impossible not to be impressed by this program, and it's polish and overall elegance.  Really nicely done.
Almost makes me want to try my hand at making multiboot CD!

This is obviously not a tool that most people will have use for, but i don't know why the people who make multiboot cds wouldn't be drooling all over themselves when they see this.

I had a hard time getting it to work well (in terms of learning things or dealing with multiple phrases that were potential matches), but it did work well enough to see how it could be useful eventually.  

Crashes on exit for me by the way (winxpX64 pro).

It's Camtasia.. though i note that i dont use any of the fancy features that camtasia provides, so almost any screencasting tool would do fine.
