Version 1.0.2.1 is released. Adds context-menu to prayers textbox to allow for printing the text in its entirety, a text selection, or saving a selection to file. A couple of minor cosmetic changes. Updated the "Did You Know?" data file:

v1.0.2.1 (12/20/2011)
* updated the searchParametersInfo.txt resource, so that it
accurately corresponds with the new cboSearchType dropdown
combobox.
* moved location of pnlMyPrayers panel down three pixels
vertically so that file menu items' surrounding "I'm now
highlighted" box isn't cut off along the bottom. This is a
minor cosmetic change.
* added a context menu-strip to the MyPrayers rich textbox,
so that user can print a prayer, selected text from a prayer,
or can export a selection of that prayer to a text file.
There isn't an option to export the entire prayer to file,
because the prayer in its entirety already exists on file
in the MyPrayers subdirectory of the user's My Documents
directory.
* updated the "Did You Know" dialog's associated text file
resource (we're up to a dozen tips, now).
* added info to the download panel so that it tells you
the particular version number that is being downloaded
as you watch the progress-bar.

With the release of v1.0.2.0, I'm pleased to announced the option to automatically synch files to a Dropbox directory (or other directory). I've improved the ease-of-use of the Search capability, allowing now for three search modes: normal, exact match, and search-within-files.

v1.0.1.9 is released!

txtAuthor field gets its text highlighted whenever the control receives focus, to help draw the user's eye to that control, in case author info needs to be entered.
extra whitespace in txtTags is removed after a prayer file has finished being loaded from file.
you can now check the checkbox located below the Begin Search and Dismiss Search buttons, in order to search within the actual prayer itself in each file, rather than by the associated author and/or tags for each prayer file. Any prayer files that contain the search-phrase will be added to the search listbox. If you double-click on one of those listbox items, not only is that prayer file loaded, but the first occurrence of the search-phrase is selected.
extra whitespace is removed from a prayer before it is saved to file. When you reload it, you'll notice it contains one space between words, no more.

it would be nice if the "Author" field would become highlighted when tabbing through all the fields. The cursor goes into the text box but it doesn't highlight or erase "Your name goes here...".

To help draw the eye there, yes, I understand. Expect it in v1.0.1.9, techidave.

version 1.0.1.8 is released:

now, when you click "Click here..." in the MyPrayers textbox after clicking the New Prayer button (or using the corresponding menu selection), the focus goes to the Author textbox, to help remind you to enter an author's name.
now, upon successfully saving a prayer to file, the textbox to the right of the "Update" menu-item updates to reflect the new number of prayer files in the MyPrayers subdirectory of your My Documents directory, and their combined size.
made the Font associated with PrayerInfo results of Search bold, for easier reading and greater emphasis
widened the toolStripTxtFileInfo control from 100 to 150 pixels, to accomodate a longer string when the number of text files and the associated combined-size descriptor string grows longer
changed frmVersionHx form (which contains the textbox that displays the Version History for the application) to FormStyle.FixedSingle
now, when you check for an Update, if an update is found, the program first checks to see if you are working on a new prayer, or if you've modified a loaded prayer. If so, it warns you that you'll lose this data if you proceed with the download and program exit. The program presents this warning, with an opportunity to not proceed.

@panzer: I assume you mean allow the user to select an MP3 that'll run asynchronously as s/he uses the program? (that's do-able). Or do you want a startup trill? Or both features? Anyone else want music capability?

fixed a bug wherein color schemes that call for a bold font got reset to FontStyle.Regular when the "Click here..." text was clicked to begin a New Prayer.
updated the TabIndex for the MyPrayers controls, so that the color-scheme-chooser combobox is part of the tab order
Duh: I'd lost my entire menu system a few days ago. Apparently, in the process of restoring from backup and filling in any gaps, I overlooked the Save Prayer menu item. Sure, the Save button was still there, but still...

simplied user-interaction upon clicking the About dialog's Donate button
I've now gotten bold versus regular font styles implemented correctly as color schemes change in the MyPrayers panel.
Added four additional color schemes: boldorange, boldlime, boldcyan, and boldblue
replaced the Ctrl-+/Ctrl-minus key combination for changing font sizes with a dropdown combo box under the options menu. The program will correctly apply the desired font to a new prayer you're typing, or to a saved prayer you've just loaded.
added a read-only textbox at the same level as the top-level menu items. It is populated at form-load, and shows the total number of prayer files found in the MyPrayers directory, and their combined file sizes.

Version 1.0.1.4 is available. It adds additional color schemes, the articles are presented more succinctly, with the option to print or write-to-file the entire article, or selected portions of it, Windows Registry is not used. However, file size did not decrease because I wound up not eliminating some resources I'd thought I might.

Not sure god-believers would know whether they should be depressed, but then nothing would let them give up their metaphors.

Of course, non-believers' belief (that god-believers' beliefs are metaphors only and not based in a factual God) is simply itself an opinion, because science and philosophy can neither prove nor disprove the existence of a God.

Coming soon: version 13 will slim-down the menu system, drops the program's Windows Registry footprint to zero, reduces the installer's file size, adds more robust error-handling, adds the option to display a "Did You Know?" dialog at startup, and more. Stay tuned!
