Also, the knitwear is clearly Asian sized...

of course it simply had to happen. Naturally, it was written in the stars from the very first time inspector Gadget (1983-1986) demonstrated it to the world: Your phone being integrated with your glove => the wireless finger phone:

The original but virtual wireless finger phone:

As the Danish reported said, this can be really useful up north during winter :-)

-sorry, visitors made me have to abort my answer.

Here at DC we have been offered a generous 50% discount on Actual Window Manager, read the first post on https://www.donation....msg173478#msg173478 for instructions. Check out the comparison chart, it is quite awesome: http://www.actualtoo...products/comparison/

Personally I purchased a key for the full AWM: http://www.actualtoo...s.com/windowmanager/, but of course you can also have what you merely asked for: http://www.actualtoo...m/transparentwindow/

What is wrong with the AquaGlass you already have in AquaSnap - is it maybe a too different kind of transparency? I have never tested it.

Living Room / Google will be your master in life AND death
« Last post by Curt on April 12, 2013, 01:31 AM »
Years ago we had threads like "iDeparted - For when you die", "Death and the net: How to log off gracefully for the very last time", and "release important information after your death with this service", but now Google itself wants to administrate your last online actions. And of course; they mastered our life, so they would see it fair to also master us after we have died, wouldn't they.

My version is in Danish, but I imagine they call the service "administration of inactive account":
https://www.google.c...u/0/account/inactive - maybe you need to be logged in.

Quite natural, I guess, but, ehh... must we make Google our master in both life AND death?

well I have installed : https://addons.mozil...zilla-archive-format

Are you not satisfied with this MAF addon?

About this Add-on
This extension enhances the way web pages are saved on your computer.

It provides the following advantages over the built-in save system:
— The saved pages are faithful to the original (exact save)
-MAF

Is the problem that the homepage doesn't say "this setting gives the best quality"?

Actually it is saying that you need even one more addon, if you want to use MAF to enhance quality:

Save Complete, by Stephen Augenstein, Not available for Firefox 18+

The Save Complete extension will integrate with Mozilla Archive Format, but must be enabled from the internal configuration settings.

This extension replaces the system used by the browser to save complete web pages. The new system correctly handles style sheets referencing image files, that otherwise would not be saved, causing some pages to appear differently.

About this Add-on
As more and more sites use CSS, Firefox's built-in complete save becomes increasingly less effective, as it doesn't support stylesheets. This extension fixes this, and saves the complete page, including all images, stylesheets, flash, javascript, and anything else associated with the document, even imported stylesheets and images referenced in the stylesheet files.
-Save Complete
-Save Complete

-in every other way MAF is not for better quality, but for smaller files!
If you want better quality only, you will need to stop using MAF etcetera.

But it is his fault and not the fault of Microsoft or XP. He is the one making the FlashWindowEx API call that is overriding my OS defaults. He chose to use that API call. Neither Microsoft nor XP forced him to type that into his IDE. I do not normally use software where the developer acts like he knows what is good for me better than I do and overrides my OS defaults, with no option to disable that kind of behavior. If he gave the option to allow the popup window to behave according to my OS settings, it wouldn't lock the taskbar in its fully extended position like it does.

-thank you for the explanation, April. Of course I never knew. Sorry I wrote as if I did.

I too lurved that flashing alarm,
No translation for lurved was found in group All.

Close words: lur, lure, lurk, lurch, lured, lures, lurex, lurgy, lurid, lurks, luring, lurked, lurker, lurched, lurcher
-Golden Dict

?

--------------------------------------

I too was annoyed by the flashing alarm. However, I was annoyed with Microsoft and XP; I don't understand why Conceptworld should be hold responsible. If a feature request was sounding like "please help me to live with XP", and not like "it is your fault that XP is annoying me!", one could maybe hope to win the case...

When I worked in the tractor dealership, we sold these. You will notice it doesn't say anything about using them on automobiles.

[ Invalid Attachment ][ Invalid Attachment ][ Invalid Attachment ]

My brothers used these with their cars back in the 60s and 70s, but then they were banned (the spinners, not my brothers) by new regulations ("here" in Denmark). I have used spinners "always" because I used to also drive forklift trucks.

I didn't take the time to write about my resistance to cloud based services, because I worried I couldn't say what I think about it, without saying it too harsh... I just don't like cloud based 'anything', when the subject is my private data. Period.

--------------
Ctrl+D
A hotkey that used to insert the date now deletes your note.

-yes, that could of course be a problem. However, I think we will have to agree that the insert date -hotkey was wrong in the first place; many programs are using Ctrl+D to delete, so now the hotkey function has become what it should have been from the beginning.

-------------

The reason I didn't care to paste the other half of the sentence, "The skins of previous version will not work with the new version. You would need to re-download them from the skins page" was that some of the skins of previous version will not work with the new version - because they are >no longer available<!

from my backup:

2013-04-08_000506.gif

But some day I might upgrade all the same because of the new more versatile feature:

If I upgrade to version 8, this new feature will be one important reason:
Notes can be written in any language. With the new Unicode support, you can write into sticky notes in any language.
-New features
Suddenly I can foresee NoteZilla becoming part of my biblical languaged studies.

It would be really nice if someone would update this thread with their user's experiences from upgrading version 7 to version 8. When I first was informed by conceptworld about version 8, I didn't upgrade because my little square mind focused on one line in particular, "The skins of previous version will not work with the new version", and the paragraph titled "features removed":

Features Removed

Some of the settings such as hotkeys, note properties have been reset. You can set them back using Notezilla Preferences.
MS Outlook sync has been replaced with Notezilla.Net sync.
Sending notes based on computer name/IP address has been replaced with sending notes via Notezilla.Net. The new version will not migrate your existing contacts in Notezilla. You will need to create the contacts once again in the new version.
Memoboards can no longer be locked. Only individual notes can be locked.
Priority feature of the note has been removed.
Cascade, Playing Cards & Tiles layouts have been removed.

But by now I assume it all were for the better? I mean, the "New Features" -section is taking up quite a space ;-)
@Steven, April, any NoteZilla users :tellme: [/hint]
