good point Jim, and let's not forget that this is one of the oldest games in business -- to hire aggressive sales people and let them loose to see how far they can bend the rules and use questionable practices while looking the other way.

Official reply from Yelp:

Definitely worth reading, and puts forward a reasonable case that they are not doing what they are accused of doing.

Given how many spammers and scammers are out there writing fake reviews, I do have some sympathy for their claim that they need to remove reviews aggressively if they suspect the reviews are planted.

FARR Plugins and Aliases / Re: New FARR Plugin: FCalc
« Last post by mouser on March 01, 2010, 06:01 PM »
To install, use the dcupdater, OR grab from here and unpack into your FARR Plugins directory: https://www.donation...dons/FCalc/FCalc.zip

Note that for people who want to be able to write custom functions, CZB's jscalc is the way to go.

On Windows Vista/7, the AliasGroups/MyCustom subdir is under the user's MyDocuments path, because its a directory the user needs write-access to.

I only want it to be disabled when I do a restart with Boot Snooze. After it ran, or when I do a regular reboot, I want the computer to ask for a password. I also set my PC to ask for a password when coming out of sleep or hibernate.

now this is getting interesting and clever.. disable the requirement to need a login or specify a password when it does the reboot, then restore the login prompts/password request before the hibernate/sleep.  nice idea.

on win7 it should be in your Mydocuments\DonationCoder\ScreenshotCaptor subdirectory

hmm.. did you copy over your old ScreenshotCaptor.ini file? if so exit, delete, restart.
see if that solves it.

Better alternative: let the second PgDn do the same as arrow down + PgDn.
i think that's not a bad idea, let me just sleep on it and make sure it won't cause trouble.

(Unrelated: hotkey config: wasn't there a special variable that represents the main input box contents in the "Text for search edit box" inputfield? I want a hotkey to prepend current inputbox text, i.e. "newtext $$1" but $$1 doesn't work. I've probably just forgotten what it is but can't find it through searches/helpfile now so...)

doesn't exist yet -- but it's coming.

From a right click on the task bar or titlebar for a window, and selecting move, you can use cursor keys to move the window up above the top of the screen -- however as soon as you try to access a control in the window, it will snap back down -- so you cant access controls near the bottom.

dont worry about autodetect -- just select your adapter manually and click "start sniffing" and watch the status bar as you browse the web.

His problem is that netbook screens have such a small vertical resolution (600 pixels) that some applications have dialogs that are taller than the entire screen.

UrlSnooper / Re: Problem with NETWORK ADAPTER
« Last post by mouser on February 28, 2010, 09:58 AM »
if it's not showing the wireless adapter in the "Network Adapter" list, there may not be anything that can be done; one thing you could try is unchecking the box to "only scan this computer" and see if that has any effect.

very good.
note that if you didn't want to put the shortcuts to other things inside your start menu you could put the shortcuts in any folder on your computer, and add that folder to farr's search directory list, and then do everything as you are doing it already.

on another thread: https://www.donation....msg196952#msg196952
it was suggested to try UNCHECKING the "only scan this computer" checkbox -- try that too.

thanks for the great clue willing; i will start recommending this to everyone who has troubles, maybe put it on the screen as well.
16924
maybe if you show us some screenshots of your search folders dialog screen in farr options, then we can help more.
there is no reason you can't get farr to not show those items you dont want it too -- it sounds like there is something really simply going on that you don't like, which would be easy to fix if we had a better idea of where the results are coming from that you dont want.

maybe you want to join the chat channel (see CHAT! button above) when i am around and i can try to walk you through the problem.
