Sorry, but I don't see your point here. What is wrong with having a reasonable amount of options? Once set, you're done for years. Additionally, there's modernopt.dll which completely hides most options from you if you can't take them all.

I like YaST(2), but I am not really happy with some of their unique inventions, like that Windows-like "one click installer" and similar things. Also, managing repositories is ugly compared to Debian.

KDE is fine, but I prefer the "original" KDE without their "polish".
