Not a problem!

General Software Discussion / 2013 Version: Browser Wars
« Last post by KynloStephen66515 on January 28, 2013, 01:36 AM »
What browser do you use, and why don't you use the others?

I use Opera (Still), mainly because IE sucks heavily, Firefox and I don't get on very well (Although, it really isn't all that bad of a browser), Chrome just plain fails constantly and isn't worth the time, nor energy.  I don't really care about any of the other browsers out there, but, I HAVE tried the greater majority of them (Windows) and also SOME Linux (Although, not very many there)

HOW ABOUT YOU?!

Urgh, it went to 720p...Dunno why it won't go full 1080 - Might be because I recorded at a 1920x1040 resolution instead os 1080...MIGHT be that, which messed it up...oh well...for those with big motniros...it CAN be understood...but its a bit fuzzy...for those on 1280x1024...it's fine

Perhaps I should work on a how-to "dummies guide" style tutorial for posting to the DC forum, complete with screenshots?

I am not being sarcastic. It's actually one of those things I am quite good at. I can simplify basic algebra to the level the average 5 year old can understand.  :D

Any relyable help or guide would be useful, app103, if it's pinned and locked.

I touch on how to make draft posts, in a new tutorial video.

I will post it in a few moment...I have uploaded it to youtube 3 times now and it keeps only giving 480p as an option...which at 1920x1080 resolution...It is IMPOSSIBLE to see what's going on.  So...I am rendering again now, hopefully it will work this time. - Should be done in about 20 minutes or so. (Upload will only take 5).

April, please continue to make the in-depth one, don't wanna step on your toes, I was just bored xD

Ok for today a tiny little "gadget", a Weekly Pill Organizer, used for Vitamins:
(see attachment in previous post)
http://www.amazon.co...minder/dp/B0000537JQ

I have two of these that I fill up with vitamins (Vitamin C,B,Calcium, etc.) ahead of time, keeping one out on the bathroom counter at a time.  Before these I never could get in the habit of taking my vitamins.

After Tuesday, even the calendar says WTF!

Would be awesome if they managed to put a DSLR into it though.  Now THAT would make me want it.

Would a 41 megapixel camera get you to buy a Windows 8 phone?

Probably.

How would people feel about a beta.donationcoder.com page

This would basically be, the forums a they are now (The forums will NOT change, just..be cleaned and organised a little better than how they are), it would also be a lot of updates and better sections :)

Mouser wants some additional things that I would have to open my documents to find the notes, so, I shall let mouser weigh in there.

I figure this would be a better idea, primarily because it would give people a chance to be able to see and feel how the whole thing responds.  It would also give everybody a chance to give constructive critisism and offer ideas on where things could be changed/remove/improved etc...

YEY more people with their pretty mugs  :D  :-*

The only problem I now have is that Mr Stephen has pinched MINE  :'(

Shh, tiz a big mug, great for coffee lol
1665
@Stephen66515: That was the idea!    ;-)

People would read it, initially thinking it to be serious...
It's a a sorta joke in camouflage.
I shall stop doing it now, if it confuzzles.    ;)

Haha, I get all my forum updates from MouserBot on the IRC Channel, so it just looks like new posts...generally I don't look at the author, I just see a new topic, and go check if its spam haha

Damnit IainB, stop changing the topic in your replies...it makes me think there's fresh content on the forum lol

Mega can go fuck itself....

When a developer force shows you this, which is an obvious lie...I have no time for it.

just out of curiousity: was your browser uptodate?
(or are they really saying any other browser is crap!?)

Google seem to be spending a lot of money promoting Chrome.
I've come across a couple of apps lately that wanted to install chrome (could Java RT have been one of them :-\ I cant remember...)

Latest version of Opera.  On which, EVERY other HTML5 based website, works perfectly.

I was just sitting here, thinking about work, then it made me wonder...

Do any of you guys work from home (like...not your own business...)

If so, what do you do, and how did you get the role?

A look around the google brought up very little that looked legit for things like Incoming Call Agent and such...so...do they even exist, if so, where do you even find jobs like this?!

Bonus gadget:

I really like these snap on can covers.  There are a ton of different brands but the screw-cap-type ones are the only ones I have found work well:

http://www.amazon.co...BOTTLE/dp/B003L2A4K0
(see attachment in previous post)

Ha, I own these....Didn't consider them to be a gadget though...Great for driving situations, or even walking, so you can put it in your pocket.

I said I was not monitoring this thread...Well, after numerous posts here, a few complaints, and a quick read of what has been happening, I am back.

All,

Let's try and remain calm and continue focusing on having a constructive discussion.

Josh's words here pretty much sum it up.

Play nice.

DC Regulars...You are better than this.  Don't provoke, don't instigate, don't be trolls.

SimonKing: This is not a forum for advertising.  Please keep your comments to the point.  I have no problems with you posting your retorts here, but please do so, in a helpful manner.

PS:  I am pretty sure, if things continue how down this current road, that this thread will simply be locked.  I am not saying it will be me that does it, plenty of people have complained about the mood here, and EVERYONE commenting here, is to blame.  Yes, I include myself in this.

...Don't make me get the hose out on you people...
1674
  I'd still do her......

Pretty much the bluntest thing I have ever read on DC... ;D
