There is no way for it to dock and not take up the entire height or width.
However, there are other options for if you dont want it always occupying the space on your screen:
  • Have it hide/slide out only when you move mouse near edge.
  • Keep it minimized in system tray and have it only pop up as a menu from there.
  • Configure a hotkey to bring up a menu at your cursor.

ctrl+c should do it (or Edit-> Copy object/image to clipboard); this works on whatever you have selected or the entire image if nothing is selected.

Edit the ConfigDir.ini file in the Desktop Coral program files directory to change where your data and ini files are stored.

don't believe everything you read in a help file, there is no such command "appshowappendmemo"
there is however "appcapappendmemo"

seems like an easy enough feature to add.  can you share with us what you would be planning on using the feature to do?

Find And Run Robot / Re: dragging search results into a tool on the toolbar
« Last post by mouser on May 18, 2010, 04:34 AM »
i will try to add drag and drop support, but the way it works now is that if you HIGHLIGHT/SELECT a result and then press the button, and the button is configured to open the %file% or similar things, it will work on the selected result file.

Awesome

Ok finished up adding the features i wanted to add -- you can now import a large deep directory of pages and images, and it will import properly all of them, creating unique names when the file and page titles are not globally unique (nesc. due to flatness of a wiki), and fixing up all links between pages.

Hopefully this will be useful for someone who is interested in migrating a site from static to wiki format.  I will upload soon.

sorry this site has nothing to do with sharing illegal licenses for commercial software.
the only license keys and serial numbers available here are for software programs we have created.

Now what would be really wonderful Chessnia is if you give us an update after you actually use it in class and let us know that you used it

N.A.N.Y. 2011 / A NANY 2011 Coders Requesting Funding Idea: Feedback Wanted
« Last post by mouser on May 15, 2010, 06:17 AM »
I had an idea.. I would like to see coders to take on more substantial programming projects to release at the end of the year as part of NANY.  I wonder if it might make sense to encourage coders to request donations to help them spend some time on their NANY, or purchase things that might help them code their project (icons, clipart, programming tools, etc.).

The nature of DC means that such donations would be small -- but still maybe worth a try.

Doing this doesn't really require us to implement anything special -- donations can be made via donationcredits, or any other financial service, or coders could set up one of those funding accounts on other sites.

The only real thing we should do IF people think this is a good idea is maybe put up a page or sticky thread listing the coders who are requesting some funding, what they are planning to do with any donations, and some background on whether they have participated in NANY before, etc., and then just encourage people to send money to these people as they post updates on their projects.

I have a large, serious, cross-platform (desktop/mobile/ipad/etc.) donationware project related to this post i made a while ago that i would like to collaborate with someone on, which i am currently envisioning using a combination of simple python, and heavy-duty javascript.  If there are any experienced/serious/reliable javascript coders who are interested in teaming up on a large project let me know.

MakeUseOf.Com has a neat article up today on making a first person shooter without any programming skills, using a software tool for windows called "FPS Creator".

FPS Creator actually comes in a free and low-priced version ($50); this isn't a tool for creating a commercial quality FPS, and open source tools do exist for doing that, but FPS Creator is one of many low-priced tools that offer a very gentle way to experiment with creating your own game even if you have no programming skills.

Few things are as enjoyable and rewarding as creating a game with and for friends.  If you make one please share it with us :)
