Yes, the download contained both the .mobi and the .epub

Don't know about the security issues you're asking though, FF was still on the Paypal page and gave me the .zip download. I didn't do much checking and the page is re-used already... sorry :-[

Yes that works just fine, thanks.

I'm still prepared to pay the regular price for the e-book though, and still awaiting the postage tariff to Europe for the paper edition, to see if it's feasible to get it sent here

Hm, pressing the button and paying the $0,01 resulted in a 404 Not found message

LaunchBar Commander / Re: An idea for a "Toggled App" button -- thoughts?
« Last post by Ath on August 20, 2013, 03:17 AM »
When you press the button, LBC would start firefox if it's not already running, or terminate it if it is already running.
Hm, sounds a bit dangerous. Maybe it should only terminate the instance if it was started from that same button? And start a new instance if it hadn't already started one.

Oh, and dangerous in case I'm running some webapp that requires me to log in, or keep a shopping-cart, that would loose it's session/data when terminated unexpectedly :o.
Alternatively the button could fire a new instance, then the next press would activate that instance, and a small part of the button could terminate the instance, like the X button on a normal window?

Living Room / Re: 3D Printers - Dirty Secret
« Last post by Ath on July 28, 2013, 12:33 PM »
Unfortunately, the referenced article in the first post of this thread, doesn't mention the relativity of this 'polution' caused by 3D printers: it's comparable to grilling meat on a charcoal barbeque or smoking a cigarette, as mentioned here and in other articles.
Let us not get too worried.

As my father in law, who died over 15 years ago, used to say "the more accurate measurements they can make, the more bad stuff they are able to find, but still there are people dying of old age instead of all those 'bad disseases'".
Guess he had a point there

Wonder how log it will take prices to drop to inkjet proportions?
-Carol Haynes (July 22, 2013, 03:17 AM)

Crossing my fingers for that one. I'd love to get one.
Yeah, would really like to get one too, the sky is the limit once you own one 8). And price is a relative factor, ofc, dot-matrix printers where in this priceregion when they where originally introduced, AFAIR?
1637
My rule of thumb is that if there's no price on it, I can't afford it. Then I move on

For text comparison I always use the shareware Compare It! by Grigsoft
Development has stalled the last couple of years, but for me it's a highly valued tool, and I would buy it again if I had to.

There is an option 'Find moved sections' in the 'Options/Options/Comparison/Advanced' options page that needs to be enabled for finding moved stuff like you described. And setting 'Use adaptive comparison' on the same page could also help.
I usually advise to enable 'Options/Lines view' from the menu (it's disabled by default), and the same for 'Options/Options/Editor' checkbox "Scroll left pane horizontally with mouse wheel".

Disclaimer:
I wrote a translation for my native language for it (and also for Synchronize It!), but have no other bonds with the product(s) or company.

Could it be this rather expensive Automation Anywhere?
Yes, we can find that, sure, but dropping a question, without any documentation whatsoever, and at the rate the OP is dropping them, makes me wonder about his google-abilities :(

If I was writing for a living, I'd probably need the focus redirection that some of these writing tools like OmmWriter offer, but for occasional writing I'd like something less 'demanding'. :tellme:

Screenshot Captor / Re: How to activate hyperlinks, in ScreenCaptor v4.3 ?
« Last post by Ath on July 06, 2013, 09:02 AM »
Static image files like .jpg, .bmp and .png do not have support for embedding links in the picture, you'll need to wrap the image in another format, like an Office file (.doc/.docx/.odt) or a web-page, to have features like that.

Screenshot Captor / Re: SSC doesn't capture scrolling in Chrome
« Last post by Ath on July 06, 2013, 06:42 AM »
I tried with Chrome 27.0.1453.116 m
Did an auto-detect scroll mode, then it came up with "Vertical scrolling" "Scroll by: By single row", and the net result was it couldn't guess the margins and overlap after scroll-capturing the Chrome window.
Went back and changed the "Scroll by:" to "By pages (Default)", and SSC then did a nice capture, and 'guessed' the margins and overlap correctly (using the available buttons for that ofc).

Edit:
I missed that you tried it on that specific page :-[
Tried it with a totally different page, seems that site is doing something to the scroll and keyboard-handling of Chrome :(
In Firefox it's even worse >:(

Edit2:
It's absolutely to do with the static background image and the overlayed content that is confusing SSC, No idea how to solve that, other than using a manual capture (tip: set 'Scroll by:' to 'By Pages (Default)') and the number of pages to 4 or 5 depending on screen-size and resolution.
