Their recent newsletter,

It’s hard to believe only a month has gone by since we sent out our first newsletter. Summer has arrived and BBQ season is in full swing. Despite the California sun, a lot has happened over here at Syncplicity since then! Let us get you up to speed.

After three months, we’ll be shedding the Beta label and releasing a final version of Syncplicity on July 28th. It’s been a long time coming!

And just in time for the iPhone launch, you can now access your files on the iPhone at https://m.syncplicity.com.
Pricing

We unveiled our final pricing. It’s based on your feedback from one of the most hotly debated topics on our forums. We think you’ll like it.

A free version of Syncplicity will always be available! While the version has certain limits, it’s perfect for casual sync users. It lets you sync two computers and starts off with 2GB*.

The paid version is now only $9.99 a month. It lets you sync and backup as many computers as you like and starts off with 40GB. Get the details here.

You can add more space if you’d like. Refer friends and get your free account up to 5GB and your paid one up to 50GB!

Love it? Hate it? Let us know on our forums!
Web apps on your desktop

And finally, our best for last. You can now open and edit files in popular web applications straight from your desktop. Scribd, Zoho, and Picnik are the perfect companions for your documents and photos!

Syncplicity doesn’t just sync your computers. Our latest update lets you open and edit your documents and photos in free web applications without ever leaving your desktop. See how.

Preview any document in Scribd. Edit any document in Zoho. And tweak any photo in Picnik. Syncplicity makes it easy by syncing your changes right back to your computer.

This could be a reason you finally give web apps a chance!

* If you were one of our early Beta users before June 30th, your free account starts off at 4GB and paid one at 50GB. Thanks for all your help!

There will still be a free one.
If you use the beta.
It will remain active.

That's why I posted the link!

In fact the beta users will be given 4 gigs since we tested it.
And I expect it will stay that way. But we shall see, huh.

I've been using Syncplicity for a while and it works for me.
Pretty fast and smooth without overloading my computers.

I don't know what the others charge but this good for me.
I use the free one so price isn't a consideration.

Hmmm...Sorry, I was mistaken.
I haven't uploaded anything by pasting in the text box in a while.
So the last time I did was probably with 20014.
And also perhaps they thought it was a convenience for that box to pop up. But we should get a choice.

I've also heard that there is a way to get your clipboard contents, if hacked into somehow or way.
Don't know the details.
Maybe that's the security thing.
If they said why then everyone would know I guess.

Just cancel the file dialog box and then you can paste the text.
It worked for me anyway.
I think it's an automatic thing, so you don't go putting something in there you don't want to.
But that's just my opinion.

The add on's are better in quality for FF3.
Perhaps the name of the add on is not upgraded.
But there will be one similar and better in most cases.
This has been my experience so far.

I only did a search for 'best music organizer'.
What do you see there tinjaw.
The same program with different names,
but it's a free program that these sites are charging for it?

Anyways there were a lot of hits, that's just one.

Here's some that look like what you want.
I guess you would need to test them.

Do you have the ad muncher extension for firefox installed?

http://www.admuncher....php?f=4&p=11643

Also, since I started using Foxmarks I don't get the forum problem as much. In fact I don't remember the last time it happened. I was using google's browser sync, but Foxmarks seems better for me.

I've had that image of a forum like DC and other forums happen on my computer after cleaning with ATF-Cleaner. And also at random times, but not often. Had the same issue with the previous version of FF also.

Restarting Firefox usually fixes it. Or restarting the computer will.

So I think it's a prefetch or cache issue. Not sure though.

Uninstall all Javas from add/remove.

Check the file downloaded programs in c:/Windows/DownoadedPrograms
Remove all Java entries.

Reinstall Java.

See if that helps.

Good review Curt, and a good pickup on what this program is designed for and it's relationship to us.

I think it is just a simple package for a variety of needs running on low powered computers. And sufficient for simple needs.

The different packages do different things on startup, so experimenting with the different ones could help get a bigger picture of this little program.

Personally I use ms office 03 pro and Abiword for my needs.
Though I have a lot more office suites.

So basically a whole bunch of unrelated programs thrown together into one big package? Ugh :)

So have you tried it fodder?

I wouldn't say unrelated at all.
It just might be surprising how related it is.

FasterFox for FF3.
Same deal.
Change the last 3 letters of the file from zip to xpi.

It is Faster with it.

I fixed Minimize To Tray with help.
Changed the 2 to a 4 in the install.rdf.
And it works fine. Here it is with .zip that you need to change to .xpi after downloading it.
Cause I can't upload an xpi file.
Download it to your desktop and drag and drop it in FF3.
After you change the extension to .xpi.

No Squint sure changed.
Not sure if it's a good change yet.
You can set it to change the size of fonts and pictures individually.

Minimize to Tray isn't ready but Minimize to Tray Enhancer is.
Kind of funny, but it's two different authors.

Overall I like it.
I'm not finished trying all my add-ons yet.
3 haven't been upgraded so far.

I don't know if this fits the category.
But this printing utility is pretty cool.
If you didn't get a similar program with your printer, this is needed imo.
