My old logitech navigator keyboard had a wheel for volume and when it finally died and got replaced the new one didnt, and I missed the wheel so much until I found volumouse. Using the keyboard is just not quick enough, by the time you've held the key down and the volume starts to change, you could have already had the volume upa dn back with a mouse. That's one more reason why I prefer to use the keyboard: volume changes aren't THAT fast, so I won't accidently blow out my ears drumsĀ-Zeph (December 19, 2005, 07:10 AM)

If history is any judge, Microsoft is last to respond, but do so best. From Windows to the XBox. People don't give Microsoft enough credit.. but, it's hard to be a fan of 'big brother'.I can't agree. Microsoft may sometimes do "quite good", but if history shows anything in this case, it's that they were forced to pay bigger and bigger sums to other companies for stealing ideas/violating patents etc.-db90h (December 19, 2005, 05:57 AM)
Yes, Microsoft isn't sitting idly by and letting this happen. You can bet they are going to look closely at what has made Firefox popular (other than it being open-source), and emulate those things in IE 7. In fact, IE 7 beta already has tabbed browsing and a download manager (I think)."already"?-db90h (December 18, 2005, 08:45 PM)

brotherS, sorry, i've just noticed you've got a Zalman Resorvator (the image was off my screen so i didn't see it before).Err, check the URL of that image and my words there:
what are your thoughts on the Resorvator - it looks like you've got an extra pump or did that come with it?
if/when i go water cooled then i'll be looking into getting the Zalman kit but i've read bad things about the pump making a noise after a short time.-nudone (December 12, 2005, 06:10 PM)
I'd get one ASAP if I had the cash right now
And as I stated more to the top, I won't buy water-cooling either

Cliff, what do you think about using one of these banners or something similar for linking from any review back to its original post on donationcoder.com forum/site?Great idea, mouser!-mouser (December 17, 2005, 06:13 PM)
Pure speculation on my behalf...(and i'm not bashing Firefox)I'm still using 1.0.7 because I'm using lots of extensions and I want to give all the coders a bit more time to update/check their code before I'll update to 1.5.
After bouncing around various mozilla sites...
http://www.mozilla.o...ducts/firefox/start/
http://www.mozillazine.org/
I find 1.07 still being pushed.Yes you can click around 1.5 is not hard to find, but the enthusiasm doesn't
seem to be with 1.5.I check the forum at mozillazine and their are all sorts of complaints of memory bloat
and compatibility issus with flash and adblock, etc.(Mozilla developers need to rethink it's extension compatibility
as apposed to developers of extension rewriting their stuff after new releases, imho.I'm waiting on a 1.5.1 i
guess is what i'm saying,any others doing the same?-tinyvillager (December 17, 2005, 05:53 PM)

however, here is the kind of thing an offline app can do: incremental search - as you type it narrows down the words that match - good if you are bad at spelling for example.Online services can offer incremental search too, Google showed that-mouser (December 13, 2005, 12:21 PM)

Because YouSendIt is web-based while Pando is an application that uses BitTorrent as its backend. While BitTorrent itself is a great technology that's still no reason for me-Zero3K (December 13, 2005, 10:06 AM)

i feel the opposite way, i prefer apps not have to go online.Well, my PC is online 24/7, so I prefer these benefits:-mouser (December 13, 2005, 11:44 AM)
