Yeah that's sort of the impression i get too Curt.

Like a great idea started then stopped somehow.
Even with the other programs.

AccelMan does have some uniqueness for sure.

Agreed mouser, I wanted a fresh look if possible.
I am sure many follow frewaregenius and figured it would come up.

Some good input from previous posts about the program here at dc also.

Which is where I heard of this program first.

Thgough I got the 'heads up' on free from freewaregenius.

Yeah, that's where I got the heads up on it.

At this point I can't say I agree with the assessments of programs  from freewaregenius. I enjoy the programs themselves though.

But to each his own.

That's why I don't post the write up from freeware genius.

But here's what dc folks have said-

when you click that reg key link it will open in your browser

save it -the web page-as whatever file it says and use the enter reg code under help in the program
to browse to it and the program will pick it up

kartal, it did that on me the first time too
i logged off and back on
then it worked

a rather interesting set of tools

I've been playing with them, but not quite good with them yet.
But I thought someone would like these.

Is it the difference between the page file and the swap file?

With tinyresmeter.
I have a varying range of 1gb to 1.5 for the page file.
The swap file is at 600mb and varies but never over the pagefile.

So is the 'commit' the page file or swap file.

Page file=what's available,
Swap file=what is being used.

?

Yes I can see the intent of being able to to do what John wants with what you posted shades.

In fact one could load a ton of info on a hard drive and mail it, and the receiver would have quite a bit of info ready to go.

You can save a complete webpage with the file menu in Firefox.
Save as-webpage.
I'm not sure you will get all you want.Plus it needs a internet connection.
(perhaps that is the problem)
But if you save it as a webpage the links are clickable.
Of course it will open in Firefox obviously.
But you could put the file in any folder.
Which may be the hindrance, being limited to saving in folders.

Just trying to understand.

No reply needed if irrelevant.

I understand John.

Just posting for those interested in the other types of programs.

I'm glad you were specific as to what you want in 'clickable links' and the rest.
Of that I wasn't sure.
Not being familiar with the programs listed in your first post.
I just posted what I had on what I know of.

his specific needs may not be in this program
others might be interested in it

Recently I have found that I've needed to uninstall and reinstall AVG to have the current version. Perhaps it's my setup. I don't know.

It was getting def updates but not program updates.
And hanging on updates in all three versions.
And the cpu was not maxed.

After the third time I dumped the darn thing.

The first version was giving me hundreds of warnings about things that were not on my pc. The rest of the versions were quirky as well.

Improve the performance please AVG, not it's look.

I'll wait a long while before trying AVG again.
Not upset, but maybe they should explain.

I have heard of many switching to other AV's.
I hope they are listening.

A 3 prong male connection will power a 2 prong female connection.
For fans that is...as in motorized...lol.

I took a large fan out of a bad pcu that had the 2 prongs and connected it to the 3 prong on my dual p3 motherboard.
Without sacrificing the already used 2/3 prongs for the cpu fans.

This is a fan that is nearly as wide as my case.
But it was pretty warm in there so I put it in.
Keeping the whole unit cooler.

Perhaps dragging and dropping the icon from the browser to the
database/pim's would work if it's supported

This as close as I could come to something actually with the possibility.

Do you mean that the links on the web page image after the grab are clickable?

(i.e. they don't make a copy of the text, images, css files etc from the web server)

With FireShot they are not. But the image can be saved in different formats.

I really don't think I'm grasping what you are after, cause I haven't followed the other thread.

The server edition of WebShot comes with a DLL that will allow you to embed WebShot technology in your own applications.

I keep finding more! Love the hunt when something is found.

Well..hmmmm...
You can save the shot to any folder you choose,
even if it's in another program.
If that helps.

I know of more that are stand alone programs.
Screenshot Capture for one.

But I don't know of any good ones built into a program like you want, sorry.

If you can find a program that lets you choose your own preferred capture program, then that might work.

Nah, I wasn't talking about FolderShare speaking of Microsoft.
But their other deal ... SkyDrive.
I don't even know if it's still around.

Thinking about this a bit more...
I thought GMail Drive is good, though limited in size according to your GMail account.

Instant access from any computer to whatever you put in there.

For syncing between computers I use the free version of GoodSync.

http://www.goodsync.com/download.html

Although the Pro may be auto sync this version must be done manually.
And of course no size limit.
You have to set your syncing folders to share in order for it to work on a network.

But I do use syncplicity between two computers, cause I can.
It monitors in real time any changes and it's fast, but slows if you are runnning other programs giving syncplicity a backseat to whatever you are doing. But it is still syncing till it's done. Even if the computers are shut off and back on, it will resume automatically where it left off.

Then there is XDrive from Aol that can do syncing.
It's a 5gb capacity for free. Not sure about between computers though. I haven't tried it.

I'm not interested in Microsoft products for this kind of thing.
Though they have them, they dump a load of extra files on your computer with their 'Live' stuff. My experience anyway.
