hi RainrooM
mouser has two apps that might help:

Popup Wisdom
which pops up a quote at timed intervals from the system tray e.g. here from my setup:

Screenshot - 2017-01-20 , 19_54_26.jpg

and
Multi Photo Quotes
which he describes as the *elegant* screensaver that combines images with quotes.
(I havent used Multi Photo Quotes myself so cant say much about it.)

La La Land
the lack of chemistry between the two really took away from it for me

You mean Gosling and Stone?  I thought they had great chemistry.  It's amazing how multiple people can see the same movie, and have such wide-ranging differences in what they see.  I've heard them compared to the Golden Age greats.

I'm always conscious others may/will see it differently. So yeah, my take on it.
I thought they had great promise initially -- him being stroppy, her quirky. Maybe it just wasn't given enough time. I did enjoy the ending, thought that worked very well. It was in the main body of the film I thought the chemistry was lacking. I'm not big on the musical approach, so maybe that left me looking for too much elsewhere.
Some great melodies, songs, music though

Interstellar I just found tiresome -- I actually gave up on it. Most voice parts delivered in a sort of a monotone that just left me jaded.
EDIT//  Dunno, maybe I'll try Interstellar again sometime - it gets very good score on imdb

Hey tomos! Yes, try it again, it was one of the best movies I saw in the last 3 years. :) (Wouldn't have minded it being a bit shorter though. 8) ) And I just saw that it even entered IMDb's Top 250 (as #33).

yes, saw the second half of it the same evening, well worth it

I could use that dmytron, will try it out

I see I can copy filepath via:
menu >Edit >etc.

Any chance that could be made more accessible, especially via a shortcut?
Cant speak for others, but it's what I use most once I find a file.

Sorted

Where is "http://www.hnsoft.pt/Downloads/" given as a link above?

in the download link in the table in the first post.
1535
"http://www.hnsoft.pt/Downloads/" was not supposed to be accessed directly. But I understand people may try that, I'll get an alternative.

as said, it's given as the download link above (so it's the obvious first choice for clicking)
But also as said, it not a problem ;)

hi hugo,
just a heads up that the direct dowload link in op is not working:
"You do not have permission to view this directory or page."
http://www.hnsoft.pt/Downloads/

(Got the download via other page @ http://www.hnsoft.pt/Downloads.aspx)

Apologies to Arizona Hot for the plague of posts here:
most of the above posts were meant to be new threads -- see this thread
[New Thread] not being created if dc quote included
1538
I think I'm in a bad science film :P
The link above is what I tried to post in the op, it got added to the quoted thread instead of posted as new thread.
Below is what I tried to post, but with the link stripped out of the quote:

New Thread is not being created if I quote another dc thread (with link), but is being added as new post to quoted thread:

Was attempting to create this new thread:
https://www.donation...ex.php?topic=43394.0

Originally,
I quoted this post 'normally' (i.e. quoted it in own thread, then copied pasted):

[ Invalid Attachment ]

Opera made a new web browser called Neon to try out weird ideas
-Arizona Hot

I added my own spiel, when I click post, instead of creating a new topic, it got added as a new post to the quoted thread.
It's one of thouse thing I thought it must be my mistake somehow -- but it happened multiple times -- each time a new post in quoted thread. I deleted most of them, but you can see one here:
https://www.donation....msg405636#msg405636

I was only able to make my new thread when I stripped the link out of the quote.
So, seem to be related to that.

so, yeah, definitely to do with the link -- question is: is it just that link (does Arizona Hot have super powers?) or is it with any dc linked-quote?
I'm giving up here, already spent way too much time on this -- someone else can experiment some more

Opera Neon: New 'Concept' Browser

Opera Neon launched for Win and Mac -- described as a concept browser -- “the way it could be”.
They dont plan extensions (so not sure what they plan really)

EDIT//
Okay: there's a bug here mouser --
it must be to do with me quoting Arizona's post (from here) in a new thread, causes the new thread to be demoted to just being a new post on this thread.
Or something :-/

If you look in the Plugins folder before adding, you'll see a JSON file with two of the Nik plugins defined, the ones marked as working above.

so do the others not work at all?

2017-01-12 0558hrs - Just added to the list: A handy 3-in-1 tool replicating some existing Windows 10 settings functionality - Starter - a Startup Manager + Task Manager + Services Manager for Windows
Starter is a Startup Manager cum Task Manager cum Services Manager will help you manage your Windows startup items & programs and more. The tool also lists all processes & information on memory usage, DLLs, priorities, thread count, etc.

that may work in windows 10, but hasn't been updated AFAIK since Vista days (I use it on one Windows 7 machine). Homepage is http://codestuff.obn...roducts_starter.html

and another one from Oblinski of previous post, also with some beautiful footage (and very dramatic music)

^ following up on 'Arrival', Contact & Interstellar were suggested to me:

Contact is dated, poorly made & filmed (imo), yet had a couple of very good/interesting phases.
Interstellar I just found tiresome -- I actually gave up on it. Most voice parts delivered in a sort of a monotone that just left me jaded.

Hi camerb
found a biggish bug:

The shortcut Ctrl+R works as a universal hotkey to restore scratchpad.exe -- not only that,
it seems to close whatever scratchpad file you have open, and bring the initial scratchpad.exe dialogue/window to the front ("Which scracthpad would you like to load?")
