Find And Run Robot / Re: 2 launches: task manager, DOS prompt with directory
« Last post by jgpaiva on February 29, 2008, 05:11 AM »
About the commandline, that's simple. Just create a new alias and add the following as a result:

cmd /k DRIVE: && cd FOLDER

Replacing DRIVE and FOLDER with the appropriate content.

Find And Run Robot / Re: FARR freezing?

I'm not sure if it helps, but try checking the "always launch shortcuts directly instead of resolving links" option under the "general" tab.

I'm not sure, but here's another report of farr hanging.
That one was related to crazy firewalls/antivirus. Could it be related?

Find And Run Robot / Re: sync across machines?
« Last post by jgpaiva on February 28, 2008, 04:45 PM »
I guess one solution would be to use FARR from a usb pen, since farr is portable, this wouldn't be a problem.

From what i know, there's no way to configure another folder for the aliases.
Why don't you install farr in the directory you have synchronized?

PhilB66: i didn't say it was a scam, i have no idea. But i thought this would have to be something implemented at OS level, and since XP doesn't have support for it...

maycm: change urlsnooper's executable name and run it ;)

LoL Deozaan.. I just tested it. Yeah, there's no support for mutiple screens currently, as you may have noticed. If you keep everything on the main screen, it'll work "as advertised".

Supported OSes: Offline, Outdoors
;D
This sure is an original mini-review :P

I'm sorry for still not having updated this, i hope to do it soon.

Deozaan: the reason why i didn't add a compiled version is because this is highly experimental material :)
I added it now ;)

Have you tried it? Does it actually work?
1545
Sorry, i didn't ask out of curiosity, my intention wasn't to seem nosey.
I asked because the good people of DC might actually know a better replacement to your program, solving your trouble with it, see what i mean?

Yes, from your description, it does sound like something that can't be done with ahk.
1546
I think you need spacemonger, mitzevo!
It helped me find a disk image of a virtual install of windows that i wasn't using anymore and had forgotten about :)

Site/Forum Features / Re: Reporting to Moderater
« Last post by jgpaiva on February 26, 2008, 06:33 AM »
Oh, i didn't know that people couldn't report a thread twice! All that "report to moderator" link does is send a PM to all mods mentioning the thread and the reporter's comment.

I guess this shouldn't be to hard to change (but i have no idea :) ). Anyways, as i guess this is something that doesn't happen very often, you can always PM me, mouser, Carol or wordzilla (i hope i didn't forget anyone), the mods that are usually on the lookout on the forum.
1548
That means i probably got it wrong.

ProgA <- program that scans the keyboard
ProgB <- program where you're now working

You want to be working in progB, and want progA to only react when you press enter, function keys, alt-fkey, etc, but not letters and numbers and such. Is this right?

If so, it sounds damn hard to do, can't you use an alternative for progA? What exactly does it do?

TOR is nice and everything, but you don't really have control of which exit router to use, and thus it's pretty useless for this case :)
Actually, i think i recall reading that it's possible through some ini editing to set the entry point, the exit point and how many hops.
