As a bonus POTUS has put his name behind the company
That's a bonus? :o  ;D  ;D  ;D
-cranioscopical (June 05, 2018, 08:31 AM)

Learn something every day.  I thought POTUS was some soggy herbs stuck on a sore spot for pain relief.   :D

Thanak goodness you were able to weed out the confusion!

That's what she said?
Bad day at The Office!  ;)

Took me a while to realize what you were saying..
I get that from my wife quite a bit...  ;D

You mean it's useful when you want a visual alert about something rather than an audible alert.
Correct.

It seems to me the biggest advantage of it is if you step away for a bit, you will miss an audible alert but can see at a distance this glowing thing.
If you program it to flash you'll probably see it out of the corner of an eye even while concentrating on something else (such as trying to understand what some people say  ;D)

Don't think this will help you but...

My way out of this mess was to install a backup of my boot drive from PE, forbid updates, wipe out all of Winupdates info/history/structure, then wait and install a later update manually.

I don't dare let the damned update near any other of my machines. It took me about 2 working days to sort it out on this one.

I have one. It's useful when volume needs to be low. Acquired it from Kickstarter some years ago.

General Software Discussion / Re: Where has Clipmate Support Gone?

I have a ClipMate_7526_136.exe installer here from 2013, and I had a license for that. If I recall, I dropped it because Win8 didn't seem to like it (at leat on my machines)

Obviously limits any possible review. Half a mind not to bother.
I'm with wraith808 on that. At the very least set aside anything that seems below par until some future time.

(Might contact the author, cite your efforts here, and see if you can get a working review copy?)

Nicely done

BlackViperScript by madbomb122 is a PowerShell script
Thanks!

1803 created so many problems for me that a madbomber's probably the best solution (that or a total wipe and  re-install of Windows).

Wondering what the $dt:%DATEFIELD$ is used for then.
Yes, I took a hurried look but didn't quite grasp it.

@mouser
Any clues, please?

Your "don'ts" notwithstanding, these might be worth a look. Discounted right now on the U.S. site:

I'm with wraith808, no committee required.

If required...
   Take quarter
      flip quarter
         repeat as required.

His OneNote thread is a major reference work with the author on tap

We should at least play him a samba!
