N.A.N.Y. 2017 / Re: My Android Apps for NANY 2017 -- All in One Place
« Last post by dantheman on January 18, 2017, 08:32 PM »
@Mouser,

Have installed your Checklist app on an Nexus 2013.
Problem. If i add "car 3" it wipes away one of the 2 you have setup by default.

Btw, wish there was an Amazon version of this app.

As highlighted, Cintanotes has much potential and i think one of nicest things to see from a company is that they not only allow you to hit that "feedback" button (which will probably be sent to the closet anyway) but to make your feedback available for all to see. Such is a huge plus in favor of CN where people can submit and cheer "up or down" on this "roadmap" the features already submitted.

Can Vivaldi be considered as Chromium class category or a Google Chrome?
154
Works well with Slimjet Linux (ChaletOS in my case) version too!

Not at all with other Chromium based like Opera and Vivaldi and still none for Firefox.
Same situation with Google Chrome Keep Extension.

So, for those switching from Evernote or Windows, it is good news for sure!
155
Still, a very functional extension that will make its way to Firefox "soon" since Mozilla plans on "adopting" Google extensions.
156
Other than the lack of support for Firefox, this is probably the best thing Microsoft has done since Windows 7.
157
Hope this is viewable...

Does Exatel have one for UCbrowser too?
159
Just noticed the other day that i can get a preview of all open tabs in Firefox on Windows 10 taskbar.  :-*
Is this a new feature or an addon that slipped this one in?
A mystery for me right now, but a welcome one which reminds me of Vivaldi's similar preview feature.
This, and the DuckDuckGo which can be tweaked in so many ways now, makes me want to go back to Firefox as default.
160
Maybe some kind of bookmarklet could do the trick?
161
Firefox has (afaik) only 3 extensions for Google Keep, none of which offer option to "add to Google Keep" on right-clicking selected text.

Perhaps some gifted hacker here would know how to it with Firefox?  :-*

Recent "Google Keep Chrome Extension" has this...

Mouser, isn't nice for you, to see all these "virtual" friends of yours writing to share your grief?
It will surely be a tough one for you with this upcoming "Fathers' Day"...

Unfortunately, i only had a dad for the first few years of my life.
Hopefully, people who read your "eulogy" shall come to appreciate their dads for who they are.
163
That's a good one MilesAhead, thanks!

Still have to click a few more things to save it to Google Keep though.
164
http://www.clicktoapp.com/ used to be a nice free app - looking for old free version...

^ impressive set of features! http://www.clicktoap...en/what-is-click-to/
And the price!  >Subtotal: USD 9.80, plus 25% sales tax/VAT: USD 2.45, Total amount: USD 12.25<
- with Lifetime Licen...oh: History, No updates for 2½ years. http://www.clicktoap...com/version-history/

Maybe the price is right but the most recent post on their forum is 1 year ago.
Sounds like a dead piece of software to me.
Besides, Keep extensions working with Slimjet and Chrome are free.

Think Slimjet is the only way at the present time, to get Google Keep extensions the way they can perform on Google Chrome.
Have tried Vivaldi and Opera but these can't handle it (for the time being).

I'm surprised no one who develops extensions for Firefox has yet to make like the aforementioned one.

http://www.clicktoapp.com/ used to be a nice free app - looking for old free version or someway to do same tasks.

Used to have many issues syncing with XMarks, even Mozilla sync for Firefox.
Happened once with Google about 7 years ago or so. Wrote to them and things were fixed almost instantly.
Syncing issues nowadays are a thing of the past.

Google Keep on Android syncs right away with their online database.
Comes in handy to take quick pictures, add notes or tags (recent novelty).
166
Any way to add a right-click menu on selected text to add to Google Keep?

Recent Google Keep extension for Chrome is just a wonderful addition:
https://chrome.googl...cbbapmcbpinfpgnhiddi

Can probably do something like that by adding it to Evernote (now that they work hand in hand with Google Drive) ?

Would be good thing when working in Linux.

Slimjet is an excellent rendition of Chromium for sure!
Must admit that Google Chrome dev 64bit is faster and reliable.
Slimjet is always playing catch-up in that regards.
Otherwise, SJ features are superb!
SJ is the main reason for my gradual transitioning from stagnant, regress full Firefox (its "hello" and my "good-bye").
168
Bookmarklets as viable alternative to extensions?
Perhaps this list of bookmarklets can get us motivated to clean up our growing list of power hungry extensions:
http://www.howtogeek...browsing-experience/
169
That's a good bargain but, i tend to lean to lifetime offers like Cintanotes that syncs with Simplenote at no extra charge.
170
Although StatusbarEx doesn't work in Linux, you can easily get the same functions in distros like ChaletOS:
http://distrowatch.c...istribution=chaletos
Firefox purrrs like a kitten there!

If only i could find a decent email notifier (addon ?) with message preview to go with it...

171
@Miles, i'm slow...
Think your issue is something i've experienced with Yandex browser in advanced mode.
Some things are just unexplainable (like trying to remove a printer driver that just won't).
172
To find out which extension is using up most memory (another addon!) :
https://addons.mozil...about-addons-memory/

To control memory (yup, another addon!):
https://addons.mozil...ddon/free-memory-20/

173
Btw, if you can try Fx out on Linux - just to see if there would be any difference.
174
Can we ask how many addons you have Miles?
I've learned over the years to keep them to a minimum.
Temptation is strong though!

Perhaps Speedyfox can be of assistance?
175
StatusBarex is working just fine here.
Win 10 64bit - Firefox 46.0.1

It would have been handy to have had it a while back when Firefox used to hang alot (at least for me).

DarkYoutube is on my must have list:
