Systemus Updated to Version 1.4.

Gateway and DNS Server is added.
Now you can customize the main window, and have a different main window for different menu configurations and you can switch between them.

I also tweaked the MAC and IP Addresses; hopefully, now they will reflect the working set.  Aside from that, you can add up to four existing ones with the custom main window info configurations so that you can show more than one if you have multiples.

Ah, so I think I know about the MAC address.  If you have multiple network cards then you have multiple MAC addresses.  I only added the first one (whatever it is) to Systemus.  I'll add an option to show the 2nd through 4th ones, too.

I think I can add the gateway and DNS servers, too.

Thanks for the idea!

As for the malware detection, I don't know.  My scanners (on Windows 7, and up to date) don't detect anything when I scan the object itself.  Strange.

In the next version, I intend to allow the user to customize the main window.  You will be able to show the info there that you like and in the order you like.  You'll also be able to set the colours and text size for the values.  AND you'll be able to do this for each menu configuration.

Aside from the info that it displays presently, is there anything else that could be particularly useful that you might want?
Remember that Systemus isn't designed to be a full-spectrum system-info app (there are better apps than this for that purpose) - it's just supposed to show what you need the most.

Also, in the last version I fixed most of the default menu items.

@smaragdus, For TextWorx, sure, if I think I can do it without too much trouble.  :-[ Uh, just post in the textworx thread if you don't mind.

Okay, well, I don't know.  Maybe if I removed the Elevated Command Prompt?  It is a cmd file that Systemus Launches.  I guess I could offer it separately or just leave it out.  Seems like a nice feature to have, though.  It's just a cmd file and the user can view it normally.

Or I could just leave it and folks will just have to trust me.  haha

But if I scan it with my own MSE - it detects nothing.

It passes a scan with MalwareBytes, too - the entire zip file passes - no threats (latest database).
Make sure you have the version 1.3.

@beetles - You didn't happen to read the last few posts on this thread did you?
@smaragdus - See what I mean?

Okay, I've uploaded version 1.3 without the clear memory cache function.  It should now pass your Antivirus tests.
There are some other new and fixed things, too.

I still would very much like it bound to the delete key so it works like all my other graphics applications.  That way I don't have to remember that *this* one is different.

I do really like the bigger buttons, and when the icons are fleshed out, it will be wonderful.

smaragdus - normally, I would agree, but it actually sets off my own antivir when I compile it.  It keeps triggering even Microsoft Security Essentials, and will probably get picked up by my firewall and set off flags there, too.  If I don't remove it (it's just one command) then I'll be getting notices about it from everyone who downloads it.

If I remove that one command, then it doesn't set off my antivir, so I can confirm it is just that one command.

I'm pretty sure it's because the command affects the current working memory.  It only clears it, but it has access to that memory, so it sets off the alarm.

I think I will remove that last function in the next version just so it doesn't set off alarms.

I'm thinking of allowing custom user colours in the main window.

I *could* make the information in the main window so the user can choose what information displays there.
Is there anything in particular you folks would like to see there that isn't there?  No lists, please, just individual values.
I've probably already got the basics of what an admin will need.  If he needs more than this there are other programs that can do a better job.  The idea is for the quick, most needed information.

Also, I need to do some testing on the commands for shell, comshell and the control panel.  I'll try to put up a list of what is actually happening so you all can give some input.

I noticed that too.  The first version didn't set off my antivir.

I'm reckoning it was one of the two new command:
flushDNS
or ClearAllCache - it's probably this one - it clears the system memory.

Here is the code for the clearallcache, if you would like to see it.  I bet it is this.  I didn't write this snippet, but it's a nice thing to have in a system management application.

Yeah, I know.  That's because it's capable of launching system files.  When I compile it, it sets off my own antivir.  haha.  I had to add the compiler to the ignore list.

Really, it can't do anything you don't tell it to.

Updated to version 1.2.  (I think I broke the package with 1.1 and it wasn't there to download)

If you have any former version of this, please remove it (just delete all its files) before using this one.  It configures differently.
Actually, if you have any menus, you can use those okay.

This version allows you to have multiple configurations and switch between them, so if you have a menu you want to keep, you'll have to add it.  Please review the chm file.

For the Delete Contents of Selection - can you make it so it works with the Delete key by default?  That's normally what one does with the delete key in Photoshop and other programs when a selection is in place.
166
I set my icon size to 24x24 and that helps alot, even though most of them become somewhat pixelated - but as you say, they are still 16x16 icons, so I understand what is happening there.  It takes quite some time to make larger versions of icons from smaller ones.  Small ones from large ones is easy, but not the other way.
Thanks for this!

Mouser, I don't know if something changed or it's just my computer.
Normally, I open the window in my program and then I push my printscreen button which freezes the screen so I can select an area.
So, I want to capture the dropdown menu in my app's main menubar.  But when I push printscreen, since my app loses focus, the menu closes and I can't caputure it.

I've been able to capture dropdown menus all the time until just now.

Maybe I just need to restart my computer?

So, I've taken a screenshot of a window that has a dropdown menu showing (for the docs for my NANY application, in fact!), and I do it over a white background.

Is there a way in SC to use the magic wand to render the selected area as transparent?  Normally I have to open Photoshop just do this.
In SC, I can select the white area, but when I push the delete button, nothing happens.

Is there a way for SC to display it's toolbar with 32px icons?  I'm talking about the toolbar in the editing window.
