General Software Discussion / Re: Microsoft Word seems the most stupid thing

Interesting of course. I open another post : Assemble PDF documents

I actually assemble pdf documents with adobe acrobat DC. But not in automated way.
I am investigating this :

Then we have other problem to solve. I am sure is possible to solve :

Joining PDF files in windows from the command line

Joining PDF files in windows from a batch file

Joining PDF files in windows from an autohotkey file

Mergint PDF files in windows from an autohotkey script able to determine where put the pages from each component PDF in the final PDF

An interactive script of course....

Don't even try to work with PDFs if you can avoid it. You will have nothing but pain. PDF is a one-way thing.

Bad news then.

How can I insert a code to indicate to vinculate a PDF inside another ?

(Something similar to link a several text pages to a word document)

so why not use a dedicated tool like PDF split and merge instead of kludging it with word (I assume you're using word to establish some sort of work flow)?
I am combining the pdf files in that way, but I have to insert manually the pdf's.....

Yes I would like to use word to establish the work flow is possible because I begin my work with a word file. Then insert the pdf objects, and finally trying to print in order.....

 :-*

The trick to get is how to print the pdf inserted as object.....
The trick is the script to combine and mount all the documents in a final pdf from the word file as the rule.

It's simpler for me.
I am trying to mantain the order....
I usually use a basical word document. Then print to pdf. And combine with other pdf.
This is not very confortable. I have to calculate where insert the pdf's.....

MW have an apparent advantage if i am able to link pdf files to my basical word document. I only need to expand when printing the final document. A sort of combines the files from the word document.

And I hope, if possible, a script for solving this problem :

When we insert a pdf as object only the first page is seen. Double click goes to the pdf document inserted in the word document.

When we print the word document to pdf only the first page of the initial pdf inserted is printed.....

I would like a script able to recognize the pdf inserted and print in the correct way.
So, in the simpler way, obtain a final pdf file with all the pages inserted.....

Is this possible ?

I know other answers like convert the pdf to word, or to jpg pages.....

 :-*

P.D. I was thinking in an autohotkey script to print and combine the files conveniently.....

Sure there is a code somewhere in the word document with the pdf file inserted as a link....

Autocad 2016 is slow
Word 2010 is slow

I have an i7 and windows 8.1 and incompatibilities with windows 10

I compared with msdos 6.0 with wordperfect and i remember simplificity and velocity.

What can I do to speed these programs, including adobe acrobat DC ?

I have solved the problema with Mega !!!!!!!!

https://mega.nz/#fm/ARl1mDgK

using a zip with a password.

i would like an additional feature with no compressed files. Protecting the entire folder in the cloud. And able to let the others sum other photos. is possible ?

I think dropbox did some years ago in the free version and now in the paid version.

Do you know any free system to do that ?

Best Regards

And in the post a link to photos in the cloud (dropbox, drive, ....., any ,.....) protected by a password.

I would like to do precisaly in the way. How can i do it ? (I don't want to sent the drive invitation by example....

Any free platform would suit my purpose.

Good question.

Keep in mind that email programs handle things like pictures in various ways, especially inline vs. attachment. So whoever can help you with this probably wants to know the email program, and the blog (e.g. Blogger, WordPress, etc. or a master control like HootSuite.)

A few years ago I did some tests with Eudora and inline pics mailing to Blogger and Wordpress.  I can look for a thread but could not check my results for a couple of days.  I remember there was variation in picture sizing, although one blog worked well.

I was  trying to do it without any conversion, with HTML conversion the target may not matter.

Steven

Thanks Steven. I am using Thunderbird, or the web option for gmail, hotmail, aol, mail, etc.

Post an email in a forum, blog, web with images and links

Copy/paste simply don't go.
I would a method for dummies like me able to :

1. Convert the received email in a html editor tha therefore can be used to post in blogger, joomla, etc. ?
2. Obtain easily all the images contained in the email
3. Obtain easily all the links contained in the email

Best Regards

Ow I have just seen this interesting thing again

Sometimes I wish to have a head over my shoulders, but fortunately others have this advantage. May be the next year i will try to discover how many times i have made the same question again and again.
