Not "bad". I had always considered Ubuntu to be essentially "useful/good" - very good, actually.
It is not.

Canonical makes mistakes all the time, people still stick to them. Sigh.

Developer's Corner / Re: WiX Installer - not really a review

"Wix" resp. "wichs". A German slang word for "jack off".

The one thing I like on WiX is its integration into the system. However, as my current major project uses NSIS, is there a GUI for it? Using a text editor to keep two installers up-to-date (update installer and full installer) is quite disturbing sometimes.

Oh, right.

Canonical seems to make a difference, according to the comments above.

Interesting. I wonder what would happen if Microsoft did that.

decent multi-language syntax highlighting

Which has issues with nested strings and multiple languages (PHP/JavaScript/HTML/...) in the same file though.
Not really bad, but there are glitches.

I doubt Jon would change that. It gave him many licenses.  :D

Anyone know what the trial is like?
When I checked last (before I bought a license (which was back in alpha days)), it was: Random nag screens when saving.
And it surely is worth it. It replaced Notepad++ for me (although it will never replace my GVim).  :-*

So you do know what data about you Google is giving to its advertising partners? Where can you see that?

I was more referring to a source where one service provider provides for direct import of data from another service
Moving files on a cloud is usually happening over your hard disk anyway, right?

Source?
Human logic.

But something tells me you already know this all of this, didn't you?
I totally did.

All I was saying was: Once you put "everything" on Google, you have to keep two things in mind:

1. It will take you a lot of effort to migrate elsewhere.
2. You are no longer in control of your data.

(3. People like me will not read your e-mail when you use Google Mail because of privacy concerns.)

Moving files from one cloud into another does exist, of course. Not sure about the other features

I meant: Complete merging.

You can't just type your IMAP data and everything is in Google Mail, right?

You can't just provide Dropbox access and everything is on Google Drive, right?

Etc.etc.

Of course I can.  ;D
At least it should be able to import too.

Yes, the "cloud" is something different. While it is nice to have it (for example: Evernote), it is dangerous when it comes to sensitive data.

Oh, great, you can export the data you actually provided yourself. Now that's useful.

So Google is not a walled garden?
Good luck with your online life when Google Mail is down again.

TL;DR

(Also, click&drag does not work for me.)

So SkyDrive is better than Dropbox which still beats the other 3 when it comes to pure space. OTOH, Android support was not really impressive when I checked it last time.

I used referrals and random "tests" and "quizzes" and whatever Dropbox events to get 7.8 GB. I'd assume it will be more in a while.
1449
My Dropbox has 7.8 GB free space. Just saying.
