Yeah, Deception in their website.
Not clear on key things.

BestSync would be one to stay away from imo.

looks a lot like goodsync and it's capabilities

best sync

Web site designing would be a thought.

There's plenty of standard issue designs with hosts.
But there are many that want unique web sites.

I've never done it but I have a friend who uses photoshop for this purpose. Designing the graphics in the site.
1429
Well, I installed it and used it.

It's great for system snapshots.
But to make one it shuts down everything it can.
So it knows what to open back up I guess.
It does keep the computer running at a minimum.

Then restoring the snapshot starts everything it closed.

I had ms word, ac browser plus, slickrun and firefox opened and up on the screen.
It restored everything back to the way it was including the web page I had Firefox on which wasn't my home page.

So it's not similar to the requested program of this thread.

But I think it is unique in that it will open back up everything you had up and working with. Like a workspace saver. And more then one 'workspace' can be saved.

But it has to close everything it can to save. There are no selective options for one or a few programs and services.

So, sorry it don't fit the thread, it's a different deal.

edit-found it here also, didn't search dc for it, before finding it

This is similar to the request.
I don't know how it works, i haven't tried it.
And the homepage for it will not come up.
But here it is at snapfiles.

here's a list
it doesn't cover them all but a lot of them

Speed depends on the setup and connection which varies.

Your University should have server space for you to take advantage of.
How much space, I don't know.
Check with the computer tech department to see what they can do for you.
I'm quite sure the space on the school's server is most likely free.
But 400gb is a lot, but it's possible.

killing the ipoint process lets CopyCap and Captain work
then just run ipoint.exe in the run box to have ipoint if you want it

or change ipoint's configuration

thanks for the modified script for getting the directory lanux

No, just middle click anywhere and ipoint will tile the windows, including the title bar.

ipoint is microsoft's software for their mice
you knew that probably

Anyway ipoint disables CopyCap and Captain as far as using the middle click on the title bar. Which can easily be worked around by changing one of the programs function for the middle click.

So it's not a big deal. Thought I would mention it in case it wasn't working for someone.

It works good lanux.

If there is a program running with the middle click button taken it won't though.
Such as ipoint.

But that function in ipoint could be changed to a different mouse click i suppose. It's the default setup for ipoint that has the middle click tile open windows.

Found one.
Uses .Net 3.5 though and it does work.
It's called 'Titlebar'. Free.

Version Tracker had it on their site

Thanks AndyM, it is interesting and got me into AHK.

Yes that does show the target of whatever you are on.
Like you, other things to do as well.
But worth the time for the learning.

A program by lanux128 'CopyCap' does what Captain does also.

Both good programs and good folks.

This script has the target following the mouse in a box.
I don't know how to use it except for just showing the directory.
No way to drop in run or open the folder.

The script is missing something or I am.

Yeah, I think it would be a great convenience.
But not worth a hefty price for a small function.

I found this for $50.
It does everything but what this thread is about.

http://www.actualtools.com/

I found programs that put the time or calendar or both in it.
Also found one that will scroll a text file across the title bar for entertainment.
Found some that will scroll news or stocks.

But no target or address function without copy paste.

Yes I would prefer that too.
That was all I could find with some various search strings.

If the icon in the title bar was actually an icon shortcut that would help.

There should be a way to add the command to to the right click title bar menu. Or make it an address bar. Then Skrommels 'Captain' could be used to paste the text into 'run'.

this is close but still dealing with the shortcuts

one of these may do it

some of these hits seem to suggest they can

a simple sync program
open source
batch capable

http://sourceforge.n...ojects/freefilesync/
1446
this should do it
if you want to spend money

http://www.theutilit...iles-and-folders.htm

buy i can't help but think that it can be done without this utility
but i don't know

for anything under 2gb for free-syncplicity or dropbox
$10 a month gives 40gb for syncplicity and 50gb for dropbox
but that is not what i would want-a monthly payment

Collaber is free as city_zen has said
that looks interesting

depends on the type of files for other suggestions

edit-
here's a less expensive idea for the task
