Hey ppass!

Sorry, but my response right now is no, it won't be implemented anytime soon.
For the past weeks i've been really struggling to keep up with school stuff, and haven't had time to do anything else (not even being with my girlfriend :( ).
Also, my exams start next week, thus, i don't predict things getting any better for at least the next two months...

Hi ppass!

I think that feature is currently being discussed in another thread, but i still haven't gone around to implementing it..
Unfortunatelly, it has been too much time since the last time i updated gridmove, i've been packed with school work :(

They could do a test to those guys. Get them into a room with a box that contains a wireless router (hidden) and to another one with an empty box and see if they can guess which is which :)

I believe you're looking for something that skrommel already did here on DC, check the following topic:

I like your response, Carol. It's adequate for the situation.
It's incredible, it looks like they answer with the email template that "fits" the situation best, and as they saw that the first one didn't fit, they sent the second one (and it looks like they don't have any more :P).

I look forward to reading their answer to your last email.

Unbelievable...
And those are exactly the same guys mentioned in the other thread!
I guess some people really never learn.

allen: i think something like this:  ;{=  would be more adequate in your case :P

(the idea was to make a smilie with a beard and moustache, but something went terribly wrong ;))

Thanks AxCrusik!

I recently have moved to Vista64, and also was glad to find that gridmove works.
Unfortunatelly, i haven't been able to update gridmove for quite a while (been VERY busy with school stuff) and there are still some loose ends, but it's good to know that it's still usable enough for people to use it everyday :)

I've used Skrommel's Noise to keep the screensaver from starting, i think it's a pretty good solution.

mahesh2k: check the "equalizer" on winamp, there should be an option there for cross-fade ;)

I think you'd have problems with the hardware configuration (because the hardware on the virtual machine isn't the same on the real computer..

Enterprise Architect would probably be the answer, if it can do flow charting. That's what we use at the university for designing system architectures, at least :)

suspend,all
after that line, it should start with the hotkeys disabled.

rbuss:

You need to install autohotkey, to be able to run the script. Then, just download the .ahk version from skrommel's site (click the green 'h' icon), open it with notepad and add the line at the top of the file.
To run the script, double-click it ;)

I know what's the problem with DCUpdater.
Probably it has the wrong link, just like the addons page has:

I believe you're looking for something like FileBox Extender.
Those are called "dialog extenders". There's even a review right here on DC about it:
Check it out here.

- Does unlocker work on Windows XP 64 or Vista 64? Not yet, I am working on it.
Unfortunatelly, it still doesn't support Vista 64.

In the meanwhile, for those in the same situation as i am, you can use Process Explorer's feature named "find handle", to find out which app isn't releasing its lock on the file ;)

timcrews:

Thanks for your reports!

Well, what you mentioned is a known problem, that i solved by removing the auto-reload. The problem is that sometimes when the resolution changed, when gridmove reloaded, it'd stay running. I can't understand why that happens, because it's related to the way Autohotkey does the reload.
If you'd like to solve that, just download the most recent version.

About gridmove on vista... I'm now running vista, and i've been having a few problems (hotkeys not being released, and the overlay moving too slow, mostly).
But i intend to make a review of gridmove sometime in the future, and then i'll add that info to gridmove's page ;)

Hello anatabai!

About 1)
Making sessions would involve storing the file path of the executable that owns the windows, and i don't think there's a way to access that information. (it's possible to know the name of the executable, but not its full path, afaik).
Saving a window layout to be applied when those same windows are open would be feasable and would make sense, though.

About 2)
This really is a program completely different from gridmove. Someone recently made a similar request, and i answered that there's a program that does exactly that, but unfortunatelly i still can't remember its name :(

Now, something important.
Although i'd like to implement the sessions into gridmove, that's not going to happen in the near future, as i am now finishing my university course and i don't have time for anything :(

Find And Run Robot / Re: Feature idea: Don't open second instances
« Last post by jgpaiva on April 24, 2008, 04:21 PM »
I think that this raises another more important problem:
Sometimes, you don't want it to open the running instance, but create a new one.
Probably, this would only be feasable if there was a way to specify what apps you'd like it to open a new instance or focus the running instance.

Wouldn't farr altab do it for you?
