By default, Windows 8.1 should be configured to start up and shutdown fast (you can confirm Fast Startup\Shutdown is enabled by scrolling down the System Settings box) but if it’s still not shutting down to your standards you can do a few things:
The fastest way to shutdown your computer, without pulling the plug, is to press the Windows Key + r and type: shutdown /s /t 0
- it's easy to make such a hotkey combination part of a shortcut:
Right click the desktop and go to New and choose Shortcut.
Enter this: C:\Windows\System32\shutdown.exe /s /t 0
The “/s” thing tells Windows to shutdown and the “/t” says wait 0 seconds in time to do it. In other words, do it now!

the way I use it is:
Win+G
=> you should see a grid with numbers overlaid on the screen
=> pressing a number will move the active window to that position
If you dont want the layout shown. pressing the 'N' key will move onto the next layout, press again for the next, and so on
If you want a layout that is not included, have a look at the gridmove section in the forum, you can add new layouts, or make your own.
Disclaimer, I've never used gridmove with multiple monitors

GridMove's default hotkey Win-G isn't going to work on Windows 10 (and probably Win 8.x) as it has a different function predefined. (I tried that already and changed it to Win-W)In windows 8.1 I think we can mantain the combination win+G with no problem.-Ath (October 05, 2016, 06:23 AM)

im a big fan of multiple monitors (2-4), but not huge monitors like you are talking. 27" is about as large as i would want, and i think there are diminishing returns after 3 or 4 monitors.-mouser (October 04, 2016, 01:39 AM)
You surely would need JGPaiva's GridMove to manage all the windows nicely on your large monitor.Yes I fail. It's windows 8.1
You failed to mention what OS is on your system.
Seeing the specs it is a rather modern, top of the line, powerful PC, even though you stated it isn't.

Windows 10 has Virtual Desktops you can switch between.Thanks a lot. I forget to say i am an user of windows 8.1 for some years. Until windows 11 resolve its problem with my CRM. If you installed the new version of Kmplayer (3.7). Without any disable option, you should see a advertisement (ads) slide panel in right side & even in the full screen view.
Although they said this player is free, It seems likes developers of the Kmplayer are going to make some money now. this is called "Adware".
This ads panel appears only when you connected to the internet. So if you want to to remove / disable advertising sidebar in Kmplayer you should disable internet accessing by the Kmplayer software.

& Close.
Method 1 (for Pros)
Open 'host' file in windows

add
127.0.0.1 player.kmpmedia.net
Using one of above methods you can prevent the kmplayer to connect to the internet and no sidebar will appear!
And,
if you don't know how to do this, you can use version like Use KMPlayer 3.6.0.87.exe witch was comes with ads free.
