Dual pane is not the most important issue to me. But customization of placement of panes and what I want to see in my workspace is the most important. When the  software does not let you customize it feels like dictatorship to me. Do not get me wrong, it was very responsive and fast. It had some nice details that other apps did not have like color toggling. Compared to other apps like powerdesk or directory opus I felt like this was a better paid alternative. I just cannot live without customized layout. I will give another round thou.

Many people were raving Xyplorer so I thought I should give a try. It looks and function nice. However I have not found any major feature that would make me pay for it. Here my minus list

It does not have dual panes,
It does not have a ftp client,
It does not support mouse forward backward buttons, at least mine did not work
You can not change the placement of panes (for example I would like viewer on the left or right side)
You can not seperate bottom pane. For example I would like to put find files at top, properties at the bottom
Limited layout selection
You can not get rid of tree view (at least I could not)
In full row select mode you cannot drag selection rectangle
I could not test the opening speed of the application because of  the shareware opening screen.

My favorite feature was auto column resizing. I really like other features like advance renaming ,folder coloring-highlighting.

It seems always calling a website from far slow to me. Especially calling a website from an alias group is extra slow.

I made an alias group for certain websites. Alias does not pass any argument, just a name and website
like this one

Everytime I try to call this group or any other website opening firefox takes more than usual I would say that i wait 3 sec until new firefox opens. Normally opening firefox(typing firefox inb Farr) is not that slow at all.

Yes archiving mainly. Sometimes I endup with many files within one folder. Best way would be cataloging based on dates I assume.

It would be neat to have an explorer right click funtion that can move files in a folder to date based(monthly, yearly or user defined intervals) folders. So you select the files run the app, select the interval, the software checks modified or creation dates of files, creates date absed folders and move files in proper folders.

No 8gb is not enough for what I am doing even My softwares generally use 1-11 gb. And I never had my task bar visible so to hower it I need to press windows key move my mouse and wait a sec to see the date. The whole point is lost I can just look at my watch for that    Anyways it was just an idea. I was not expecting comments at all

I was looking for a randomizer for long time. No software randomizes enough for me and I hate shuffling. I never listen 1 full album, I am all for random mode. i am very excited to try it now. I will let you know

Anyways what I was saying that there is wasted space in the title bar that can be utilized for numerous things. Time or memory was the first thing that came to my mind. It is nto a big deal for me I have 8 gb with 4 cores. I can run 20 different programs to check my date and time. But it is just not a preferred method of having utilized work environment. If it is going to bloat the Farr then sure it would be stupid to implement.

well it would be great to have only one app for small tasks like checking time. I have farr on "rigth alt", if I need to check date time I can just press alt and check it. Do not you think it would be more bloated if I need to run another app for instant date time?

You might hit printer drivers issue if you have a canon. I use xp64bit and generally all my applications and hardware seems to work (except my canon printer). I use pdf printing server on my other laptop to print from my 64bit

Sounds like a good idea. But I use launchy alongside Farr and I disabled firefox bookmark plugin in Launchy because it interferes with my standard searches which I hated. I hope that similar thing wont happen in Farr if such thing is implemented

It looks like numpad can only be used to call the programs through file index number. Is it possible to disable that so that I can use numpad to type numbers as well?

I think,It would be great if Farr can query clipboard H+S`s database. I know we have klipboard keeper, but it makes sense to me if we have Clipboard plugin for Farr.
