Nice. just downloaded in on my pcs. will try on laptop later on.-techidave (October 31, 2015, 11:28 AM)
I tried it, but I'm quite used to using mouse-gestures, and I can't get that working yet, so I'm no convert yet.
It does look great though, that part works alright-Ath (October 31, 2015, 01:16 PM)

Haven't seen many laptops that can beat the macbook screens, but dunno why you'd buy an external monitor from Apple, really.-f0dder (October 29, 2015, 04:09 PM)

Most of these seem to me primarily consumer-oriented features. Not much there to convince a business user (in fact they're likely to wind them up with the forced download and reminders).-dr_andus (October 29, 2015, 12:51 PM)
Why not just turn them around? They don't appear to be physically/ergonomically directional, and the strict left right relationship is only really critical if you're taking a hearing test..-Stoic Joker (October 29, 2015, 06:33 AM)
These are my headphones:

The overear fabric is a velvet cover for them. Very comfy.-Renegade (October 27, 2015, 04:03 AM)

Fabric is more expensive and harder to clean. So it seems logical it's for cost/practical/functional reasons. But now I'm intrigued about fabric earphone covers...

I find it very odd that fabric over-ear headphones are so hard to find. They are far more comfortable. Like you say -- even with A/C.-Renegade (October 26, 2015, 02:06 AM)
Woody Leonhard has been chronicling the development of a tool to stop Windows 10 "upgrades" in his InfoWorld blog.
I haven't tried it -- I don't trust Windows Update, so it has always been turned off on all my systems, but I would trust Woody's recommendation.-xtabber (October 23, 2015, 11:59 AM)
Plastic (or leather) gets hot and sweaty.-Renegade (October 25, 2015, 06:46 AM)

Does that make sense?-JavaJones (October 23, 2015, 04:48 PM)

Images are shown in the forum at over 100% size when using [ Invalid Attachment ]. This leads to slightly unfocused images.-tomos (October 23, 2015, 04:24 AM)
But that was the "What if?".
What if:
- You were going to kill your own girlfriend;
- You could only go back in time;
- You couldn't fix it for yourself (too many impossible anomalies);
- But you maybe could fix it for yourself in another, separate time-stream?
The hero was smart enough to seek the advice of other thinkers/scientists and, despite his efforts to the contrary, he realised that it was an impossible objective to fix it for himself. So he changed the objective and worked within the constraints of inter-dimensional time-travel.
I thought that was pretty nifty SF.-IainB (October 23, 2015, 07:42 AM)

I think it inevitable that each internet access, be it only an ack, nack, or ping, will mean KaChing to the providers. Different interactions will be charged at different rates. A handshake to connect will be cheaper than an RPC etc.. But once it is all in the cloud you will pay for every packet. Even worse you won't be able to scream bloody murder if you are behind on your breathable air payments. Every thought you think every drop you drink they'll be chargin' you!!
