Living Room / Re: Google Reader gone
« Last post by Tuxman on March 14, 2013, 12:55 PM »
I have installed TTRSS a while ago, just to see how it goes. While the interface is a bit weird, it totally lacks some sane Android app. The paid one is not available for people without a credit card, the free one does not find my installation correctly. edit: If someone wants to test it, click here. I will migrate the server to FreeBSD some time next month though, so a short downtime is expected.

Concerning Fever: Looks nice but the dev hates non-Mac users, obviously.

Depends on your desired result, actually. You can't enforce certain topics.

It is not that expensive, is it?

So if we turn off the new (and annoying) "new features", we don't need an oversized GUI. An option to have a smaller font would be appreciated.

I wish it just had its old clean interface back. (The one thing I like about the new Fuzzy Search feature is that I can disable it...)

"Wikipedia" as the syntax name. So massive FAIL. It's "MediaWiki syntax". Which is what the Wikipedia is making use of.
Where can I report this critical error?
1311
Yup.

Hint: There's a checkbox during the installation which lets you do exactly that.
1312
Use the single window mode?  :D

I still use x² because DOpus is still not available as a reasonably priced lifetime license.  :P

(Admittedly, I use XY on my Win8 machine as I was too lazy to find my x² key when I set it up.)

Yup, I noticed that LibO is becoming faster now. Its major "issue" is fixed then...

That thing still exists?

I switched from IrfanView (still used for batch conversion) to nomacs (and ported it to FreeBSD) a while back. I had a short glance at Faststone. It was ugly.

Rainlendar? It can do the things you don't need though.

I've tried it twice already (2 weeks of non-stop use each time) and always went back to N++.
-fenixproductions (January 29, 2013, 06:24 AM)

I went from N++ to ST2. Must be individual use cases. I just like its compact user interface more.

ST2 has been around since Summer 2008, at least the first versions. This is quite a life span. But the pricing is weird.

I have a similar problem with Pale Moon. Can't use newest Firebug because it heavily relies on "new" Firefox versions. Bah.

There was no "yet" in that application... that's what makes me wonder. It never got a real function there.

Back in the Nineties, there was some "copy machine" application around on Windows systems. It basically simulated a copy machine's interface and used the attached scanners and printers to perform the job.

It had one weird toolbar button.
When you pressed it, a message window popped up: "This is a Not-Function". (In German, though: "Dies ist eine Nichtfunktion".)
