try Icon Explorer

http://www.mitec.cz/iconex.html

you can extract any .exe icon to a folder or desktop
then right click the folder you want to changr the icon
click properties - customize tab - change icon
navigate to where the extracted icon is and select it
click apply and ok

Just to clarify -- screenshot captor can already capture scrolling windows -- the new idea is a function to manually let you specify target size of a window which would be resized programatically and then captured and returned to original size.

Could this be done after the capture with another program?
Or even with what program used to open the screenshot could allow original dimensions.
Taking note of the dimensions before the capture.

Not sure if Bill Steo is still interested but,
EditPad Lite has search and replace for all the files it has opened in it's tabs. (I don't think it will save the original, but you could duplicate the files before starting.)

Pretty cool imo.

ava has a block folders feature
not sure if that would help

this is a pro version that reverts to the free after 30 days
though it retains the 'block folders' feature

i like the one Phil posted too

Yeah, HyperSnap is 20 or 30 dollars.

ScreenShot Capture is free.
SSC will add the scroll bar to the screen shot.
"Grab Windows Object or Scrolling Window",
is the command from the tray-then press control and shift and click inside the program.
1308
active window would be a program such as google talk

web page is anything in your internet browser
1309
That's an active window that electronixtar is showing.
Not a web page.

For web pages, I use FireShot.
It can do a scrolling whole page or the visible portion.

https://addons.mozil...S/firefox/addon/5648

For any others I use ScreenShot Capture.

https://www.donation...hotcaptor/index.html

It can capture an active window or do a scrolling window if it takes more then the screen.

Your welcome, and yeah Adobe is very good.

The pdfxchange viewer is pretty good though.
With it's zoom features and the rest of the suite-
though it adds a watermark to created pdfs.

eXPert is a full suite for pdf creation and viewing.
Nice to have on the computer.

will this help?

Some times the QTA doesn't work for some files.

Don't know why.

Just like Foxit doesn't work on all pdf files, so adobe reader is still needed, or a comparable.

I use poppeeper for both gmail and yahoo.
Don't have to deal with their interfaces at all.
And it works with yahoo free email.

Yes, .net 2.0.
And the resources used is not that much.
20 or 30 mgs of ram should not be a problem.
CPU usage is my main concern, of which is does not seem to use much.
System memory is so I don't have to remember.
I tried Grid Move, and Maxto.
Perhaps I didn't go into Grid Move very deep.
But Maxto is ready in an instant for any changes I need.
Maxto is easier for me.
And not that I would use it all the time,
but when needed I have it with easy config,
by mouse clicks for whatever profile I need.

And all praise to Grid Move and it's users.
More power to them. 10 times less mem usage!
It's not a competition to me.
More of a matter of what is important to each user.

And I would suppose there are more of these type of programs around to test.

Well, I wasn't comparing this to grid move, nor have I tried grid move.

And yes the source is something worth posting.
As was suggested to me.
That's where I learned of the program.
Which is posted in the link I posted.

I'm not much of a writer, others are,
so I just posted the link.

Perhaps someone could compare it to grid move.
Or write a better explanation then what the link says as well as the main site

I don't know.
I just posted a program.
Thinking required by readers.

edit-thanks fodder for more info from your view
didn't see it till after this post
