UrlSnooper / Re: Strange URL defect or not?
« Last post by tinyvillager on December 30, 2006, 08:59 PM »
I'm confused,i used this, the link you provided as the source.

Mephisto trailer clip URL:
mms://38.98.192.5/097135/asf/300/038/001610.asf
....
 and got this
http://absurdvideo.g...pages.com/001610.asf

Converted it
http://absurdvideo.g...ges.com/Mephisto.wmv

I watched it,it's the complete trailer, are you saying it wasn't suppose to be the trailer but a clip from the movie?

I haven't used Streambox VCR in a while,it might be getting old.

I used Net Transport and got it

None the less,if your still having problems i uploaded it here,it's under 2 mbytes...

I have xplite,i use it to remove all traces of windows defrag, built in games, and well that's pretty much it.

My experience with dealing with bloat is pretty much this, out of site out of mind is better than uninstall.

I hate Internet Explorer, but if you uninstall it,you'll have hell to pay, you'd be surprised of how much software
including what's already on your OS depends dearly on it.The same goes with Windows Media Player, you
could cripple any prior or future installation of third party software.

Personally i like to tweak more than uninstalling,be it with a tweaking software program,or by disabling processess through windows services console.

Just my humble opinion, but be very carfull when uninstalling components.

Url Snooper is what landed me here (300 posts later, woot !)

Yeah,i haven't had any hangups with 2.14.02,but i've had hickups with pasts versions before and it was
usually cured by making absolute sure the install folder was out of the program files folder.I would uninstall
old and install new emediately afterwards, and the installer would barf when it came to winpcap installer or
something strange, everyone's system is different, sometimes a complete reboot is in order.

Some helpful links that make Urlsnooper all the more useful and fun

I'm trying to get into the newsgroup thing, yeah i know i'm about 15 years late,i have a couple of free servers,
one from my isp,but alot of the info is old and stale,is it a case of you get what you pay for or is just a question of digging around ? Or maybe i've been spoiled by internet forums, none the less i know there has to be some gold out there so...

Anyone know of some active newsgroups, servers
with active topics such as tech news, breaking world news.
I'm basically a news nut,i want news from all over the globe,
binaries aren't important.
